ohh dont even get me started...i used to raise train and show Newfoundlands. i love BIG dogs...I had some top 10 in the country--most notably my best friend Black Beary Sam. He got me thru the tumultuous teen years!! I miss him so bad... Chico is Kevins little teensy chihuahua and i never thought i would like a tiny dog but he's pretty good. he does have a squirt problem--whoever had him before Kev didnt teach him good manners. but..all that is forgiven for his companionship to kev..he sits tight up against his leg all day and is a good friend to him.
Our first Cairn was named Pepper because he was the color of pepper. 2nd cairn was "Royal Robbie McRoscoe" (aka Robbie). Next came the cairn twins, (well, of a litter of 6) "Murphy McGee" and "Spanky McFarland" ... we had from puppies until Murphy died at 12, and Spanky at 15 (just Oct 05 :-( Our current dogs: "Buster Fletcher" (who came to us after Murphy died, being called Buster, but I changed it to use his 2nd name Fletcher, and after Spanky died, we adopted our little Scottie named (surprise!) Scotty. We once had a cat named "Kit" :-) (Can you tell I'm a cairn-type of person! lol)

Before our dog Duke died, I would always get a card from him to my husband. I thought it was very cute. I would also get presents for duke for Christmas that I put under the tree. Our pets are part of our families!!!
Both Jeff's and my dad are back in GA. We don't have children, just Jake and Betsy our 2 Jack Russell's. BUT, Jake and Betsy send a card every year to their daddy and tell mommy to take him to dinner. LOLOL Yeah... weird, I know.
My husband will go golfing in the morning, then we'll have his dad over for a BBQ and swimming. While he's at the course, I'll take the kids to the cemetary and put some flowers there for my dad. That sounds very solemn, but it's not. I do, however, miss my dad!
