I am proud of myself today because I worked out before going to my family's cookout. I had a slice of cheesecake without feeling guilty about it and stayed within my calorie range!

I am confident that the path I journey on today leads me in the best direction for my soul's progress. I do not worry about tomorrow. I choose to focus on today's journey.

Because I have written out my meal plans for the week and done the shopping for those meals now for 3 weeks. And because I did not spend even $1 last week on food while working - brought lunch and snacks every day, and took time to eat breakfast or bring it with me. Yeah I did buy coffee but NOT FOOD! So I'm proud.

I went to the bakery today to buy bread and I did not buy a donut

or a cookie
or a cinnamin bun, peanut butter marshmellow square, chocolate square, pie, butter tart, peaches and cream muffin, pizza bun, honey glazed croissant, merangue, eclair.

I just bought bread (100% whole wheat) and left.

Everything smelled so good and the little devil on my shoulder was telling me it was ok to have a small treat but I resisted!

CC, picking your food before you go out really makes a difference. My husband wanted me to meet him at Jack in the Box tonight during his supper break. I went to their website and they have a "build a meal" option. I figured out a meal (Asian Salad with no wontons or almonds and low fat balsamic dressing) that was only 189 calories! When I got there, I knew exactly what to order and it made everything so easy. In my husband's meal, the ciabatta bun alone was 299 calories! It really helps to know before you go!!

I am proud of myself today because at out grill out I only had a hamburger no bun and a handfull of chips. I am slightly under my calories and can still have a snack.

I am proud of myself today because I have stayed in calorie range. I stuck to my diet without adding anything else and I made it outside for a 60 min walk.

i just blogged about this, but essentially i am proud of myself today because of two things.

1. i did not binge eat today when i definitely would have a short time ago

2. i have made a ton of progress in the past month

i went to dinner with my brother and didnt start with dessert like i use to ... in fact i didnt have dessert at all... lol...

and i didnt feel bad about missing it...

Laurie, me too! drinking over 64 ounces of water has become a daily habit for me. i don't even think about it anymore, i just fill up my water bottle when i get to work and keep drinking throughout the day. how amazing that this quickly became part of our lives!

I feel happy with myself today because I feel like Spark is truly working for me. For one thing, drinking water is becoming habit and Spark makes it so easy to track your food. I am doing these things without even thinking about it.

thanks!
i've been concerned about this issue because the spring and summer are heavy travel times for me because of work. i am feeling more confident about my trips knowing that i did well during my vacation.

if i can resist temptation in my hometown with lots of amazing food, then i think i can do it anywhere!

I went over the mall today on my break from school with some friends and they went to bavarian pretzel i used to eat them every day but i resisted. I also resisted on the yummy looking funnel cake in the window. Also yesterday my friend tracy and i went to break at the mall and ended up stopping at TCBY and i resisted getting a soft icecream! God what i'd do for a soft ice cream though!

I am proud that myself on Saturday because I went bowling and even though I had a couple of beers I still opted to have Bake Potato and Beans instead of a burger and frys.

I am proud of myself for turning down the garlic bread that my mother-in-law cooked yesterday. I am also proud that I sat down and made my visual motivator.

I accidently got a regular Pepsi today out of the vending machine because i wasn't paying attention and i immediatly gave it away!! Went back for my diet!

I didn't eat any of the fried chicken or the cake that they had today at work for Mothers Day instead i had a banana and my usual subway (although i did manage to go over my calories anyway :0( Ughh)

I did a 60 min walk in the rain with son straped to my chest and daughter in stroller with rain cover over her. and when I dropped in the supermarket I only got a treat for my daughter for being good and not one for myself.
