It helps to pay attention to your triggers. How are you feeling when you eat/snack? Did an event trigger this? Before you snack, drink a full glass of water and wait. Water usually works for me when I'm feeling stressed or depressed and turn to food for comfort. Food is food. It feeds your body. If you can start thinking of food as fuel, it might help you, It sure helps me! If you are proned to snack, make sure you have healthy options available. Fruit, celery, carrots etc.
It has to start within you. You have to want it not only for other reasons but mainly for yourself. See i would always say that i was gonna try and lose the weight and i'd stop before i even started! It's been a week and i have been keeping on track w/my eating (within calorie range) and my exercises. That in itself is a shock. You have to push yourself. You have to really really want it and push yourself harder than ever before.

I know how you are feeling. I have been drinking so much water and have really cut my calories and scale told me I had gained 8lbs. Don't know if scale is acting crazy, water gain or what! but it is depressing!!

It is hard to make these changes. What is working for me is utilizing the SP website as much as I can. I'm talking with others on the boards. I'm keeping track of my calories. I'm keeping track of my water. I'm reading articles. It takes 21 days to form a new habit. Keep on keeping on. C.C.

are you starting with small enough intentions? - it is difficult to make huge demands on yourself and stick to them even for one week so maybe with eating just make substitutions and healthier adjustments over a longer time.
I am having trouble keeping motivated. Weigh in again my club this evening and was up almost 2 pounds... I get off track easily. Start with great intentions and then I am off again.... any good ideas??
