Kim, If you seriously want to look into it, you should visit www.coolrunning.com or www.runnersworld.com. They both have schedules of upcoming races from 1mile fun runs up to marathons. And some great advice too!

Great! You can do it! There's this popular couch to 5K in 9 weeks program. Since you have started in March, you may be already in the last few weeks of the 9-week program. Also there's a customized program you can find on runner's world website

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone else here has aspirations of being a bonafide runner? I'm registered for a 5k run on June 23, 2007. I started walking every day (at least one mile) in early March and just added running to the mix. My goal is to run that 5k and I know that I can do it, even if I have to take walk breaks. It would be nice to swap emails, etc. with someone else here if any of you have something like this coming up! Let me know!
