Kim,
If you seriously want to look into it, you should visit www.coolrunning.com or www.runnersworld.com. They both have schedules of upcoming races from 1mile fun runs up to marathons. And some great advice too!

I'd love to run, but I have bad knees and ankles, so it just isn't going to happen. Good luck to yall runners though. emoticon

Way to go you guys! I haven't registered for any races yet, but now I might keep my eyes open. I'm sure that would motivate me to run longer distances.

I have the couch to 5k plan and I'm following it loosely. Wow, 10k! You go!

I've only been walking since March, just started the running, so I'm still in the early stages of the c25k plan.

Good luck, I know you can do it!!!

Great! You can do it! There's this popular couch to 5K in 9 weeks program. Since you have started in March, you may be already in the last few weeks of the 9-week program. Also there's a customized program you can find on runner's world website

I started the "10k in 13 weeks" program. Currently I'm in the 5th week.

Good luck!

Little goals:
5/11/07: 120
5/29/07: 115
6/16/07: 110

Hi all!
I was wondering if anyone else here has aspirations of being a bonafide runner?
I'm registered for a 5k run on June 23, 2007. I started walking every day (at least one mile) in early March and just added running to the mix. My goal is to run that 5k and I know that I can do it, even if I have to take walk breaks.
It would be nice to swap emails, etc. with someone else here if any of you have something like this coming up! Let me know!
