I hope your IBS gets better with a good diet and exercise and losing weight :-) I know my digestive complaints are down, but I still got a bad attack of something early this month--I could not sleep :-/ There are sparkteams for IBS sufferers and you should find one or two to join, because together your experiences will help each other greatly!
Can you try to get in 3 servings of dairy a day though? Lactaid is everywhere and yogurt shouldn't cause the regular digestive upset either (the lactose is used up by the yogurt culture) There is research that says that people who do that lose weight easier, and the theory is that the body hordes calcium in fat cells if it isn't getting a good supply. Three servings of milk isn't 100% of the US RDA either, so we have to get the rest from other sources--leafy greens, meats/stock/soup.
Great idea diluting juice. Eating the fruit instead gives us the fiber too.
