Kristin, Psalm 103 is one of my favorite Psalms. I got a thorn Friday. I even nurtured that thing for a while before asking God to get my heart right. Took most of Friday night, but the dark circles under my eyes were badges of victory by Saturday morning. Your message was what God taught me (not for the first time - sometimes(?!!) I'm a hard learner) the past few days. Thorns die. My thorn would have died a lot sooner without that nurturing . . .
Thank you, again you have blessed me, NewCreation!!

Thank you I needed that.

"If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." --Edward Hickson, "Moral Song"
I received a message from the Lord today while gardening:
Thorns eventually die, too.
If you are reading this and going through a painful or difficult time, remember that the pain will not last forever. God has a purpose in allowing those times of trial, but He also doesn't leave us there. He will bring you through it, He will bring your joy back, He will make the sun to shine upon you and the flowers to bloom again in your life. Don't give up, and don't forget that He loves you, ALWAYS.
"Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." Luke 12:6-7
1 Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise His holy name.
2 Let all that I am praise the Lord;
may I never forget the good things He does for me.
3 He forgives all my sins
and heals all my diseases.
4 He redeems me from death
and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
5 He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
