I guess what I meant was - not necessarily a song you hate - but a song that you liked at one time but have heard so much you don't care if you ever hear it again. And is it just me or does anyone else get that silly filet-o-fish commercial stuck in there head? "Gimme back that filet-o-fish ... give me that fish ..."
I HATE NICKLEBACK!!!!! I think they should die! We have xm at work and I'm forced to hear them every day, it's torture. But besides them, there is this Pink song that also plays on xm "So What" I think is the name of it, ugh!
there is a point where it's just one too many times for any song, no matter how much you enjoy the band. Too much radio play ruined a group for me too. I liked Pearl Jam quite a bit for a couple years and now I turn them off or tune them out almost every single time. I'm afraid it's the same with The Eagles. I have to be in just the right place and time now to enjoy one of their songs.

Yes, classic rock format stations have ruined songs that I used to enjoy. And as sad as it is to say it because I am also a huge KISS fan, I could really go the rest of my life without having to hear Rock -n- Roll All Nite ever again. By the way - I hear that Ace's long awaited album is finally supposed to be released next month. Its called Anomaly.
I turn off American Woman every time I hear it come on. Any version,.. don't know why but it just rubs me the wrong way. And I know how you feel about the radio station rotation favorites. Somebody here at 94Rock in Albuquerque LOVES Rush. We get to hear them all the time. Meanwhile they badmouth KISS which I don't like to hear any DJ do to any group. I just want to hear the music, not the snide comments, you know?

My good friend and I listen to tons of music and music is and always has been a huge part of our lives. So from time to time we'll hear a song on the radio or t.v. and often it will be a song that we both agree we could live the rest of our lives and never have to hear it again (classic rock radio sucks!). There are many songs but for me the one song I could really stand to never have to hear again is More Than A Feelin' by Boston. Our local classic rock station plays Boston incessantly. I could probably go tune them in right now and within 20 minutes I will hear a Boston song.
