Saw two shows in two weeks last August (2008). First one was for my 15 year old son. Poison with Dokken opening up. Dokken rocked. Poison was okay.

The second show was for me but I took my son with me. Metal Masters - front row. Testament, Motorhead, Heaven and Hell (aka Black Sabbath w/Dio) and Judas Priest.

I got to shake Halford's hand when he came to the edge of the stage and was 10 feet away from my two favorite guitar players in the world - Tony Iommi and Glen Tipton. I'll never forget it.

Lemme rules!

Rock on headbangers!

At the risk of everyone pointing and laughing at my confession.... My last concert was KISS almost 10 years ago. Sux having a hubby who isn't into concerts much, not that there's been a lot of expendable income for a lot of concerts anyway. But, man! There have been some tours come through here that I would have loved to see!

Apocalyptica in Denver on 10/20. That was the 4th time we'd seen them this year and by far the best concert.

Done for the season now, because venues are 150 miles in either direction and can't count on the weather co-operating until spring.

I know exactly what you mean. I moved away, and have a few people I know that SOMETIMES like to go to concerts but they aren't as into music as I am.

One thing I hate is that it's hard to meet others who like the same kind of music. When I was younger (ie, teenager) I used to go to all the concerts and know what was going on because all of my friends liked the same music. Now that I'm older and moved away from where I used to live, I have no clue what's going on(other than the huge concerts like Ozzfest).

The last "real" concert I went to was Ozzfest in Dallas. Jonathan Davis is very different when he is by himself and not with KoRn. But overall a great show.

Indeed! How I wish I would have went to work instead of calling in sick to go golfing with my fiance. That was four months of pain I didn't need. Both systems have their draw backs I wish there was a medical system that had best of both worlds.

Well when ya break something it's more than just doctor's visits. X-rays, casting, stupid walking boots, physical therapy, and now a bone growth stimulator.. all adds up after you've been at it for almost six months. No I didn't have to wait for treatment but I sure do pay and pay and pay for it. All for jumping off a curb and landing wrong. Stupid stupid! Oh if only I'd stayed home that night and read a book! Hehehe

Wow that's some pretty crappy insurance. When I used to have it I had no deductible and and like $20 co-pays. Call centers suck but I miss my health insurance. Socialized medicine has it draw backs. I live in Portland Oregon and met a lot of Canadians that had to came down here to get something done because their medical board decided they didn't need the treatment. Great for I cut my finger off and need to get fixed but if its not an immediate life threatening issue it takes forever to get the treatment approved.

heh, got medical insurance about two weeks before I broke my foot. Wanted to give it a good test run I suppose. Spent well over $1500 in deductibles for this stupid thing and it's STILL broken... god so freak'n frustrating. I suppose water aerobics or walking would be fine but I'm not keen on walking and water aerobics is now beyond my budget, which is still being eaten up in medical bills... and we don't have socialized medicine because why?....heheh. Oh well.

No fun! Once its healed though get back to your routine, also ask your doctor what would be safe to do until its healed. Unfortunately I don't have medical insurance so I didn't go to the doctor so I didn't get pain meds or crutches, so I ate to take my mind off the pain. Might have not been the smartest move ever but when you make $8.25 an hour an emergency room visit adds up quick lol.

That was the only good thing about breaking my foot (while jogging I might add geeesh!) weight came off like crazy. I was so damned depressed and sick from the pain meds all the time I hardly ate a thing, and noth'n like crutches to give you some kick *ss arms! hehehe

There are no major groups coming through here either. I know a couple of local bands that will be playing might check them out. Sorry to hear about your foot! My weight gain started last year because my fiance throw me out of a golf cart and I hurt my foot last year. Put on about 5 - 7 pounds at first since I couldn't really get around to well.

I hope it heals soon!

Just truck'n along with this crazy-happy-scary life and look'n through the newspaper for good shows on the 31st. We had Cooper come through on Halloween once and I missed it. Sure would love to see someth'n this year, been a crappy Oct. heh crappy year in fact...could use some Halloween cheer about now, and ain't noth'n like a good concert to get a body all hyped and cheery again! As far as my Spark'n, going back and fourth with the last 5 lbs...can't do any running with a STILL broken foot, just a lot of limping and moping. Again a concert would help, quite a cardio workout to be sweating, screaming, and jumping around hehe.
