Hmmm, I'd have to say that even before I starting eating healthy I would sort my m&m's, skittles, sweet tarts, etc by color... so I spose I've always been wierd there, but I have favs of the flavors and want to eat the favorites last... so there's a method to my madness emoticon

As far as other habits, I know that everyone at work thinks I'm wierd because I eat healthy. It seems to be the amusement of the lunch room to watch me open my lunch to see what I've brought. They also have stopped asking if I'd like anything from fast food restaurants if they are going to order, instead they just say you've brought your lunch right? emoticon

hmmm. Interesting!

Not sure how weird this is, but I don't eat bread, potatoes, rice, crackers, sweets, cereal, etc when I'm trying to lose weight, except once in a great while, so as not to be deprived.

I cook with EVOO exclusively. This includes baking.

I can't eat a carrot happily unless I dip it in peanut butter. But I do portion out 1 TBSP of PB when eating a carrot.

I'm a little obsessed with wine/food paring. My weekly menu is designed around what wine I have. I cook with whatever pairs with the wines on hand. I plan two meals for every one bottle of wine. That way, my guy and I each get about a 4 oz glass each evening. Tonight I made tandoori Chicken to pair with a Napa Zin I had.

I guess some/all of the above would qualify as weird to some? not sure....

My daughter has always eaten things by color, whether it is M&Ms, Skittles, Fruit Loops or other foods. She also separates her foods on her plate so the foods are not touching. She's a teenager now and has been doing this since she could feed herself.

As to my weird habits since starting on the road to better health, I do eat my popcorn slower, but not one piece at a time. I do enjoy the feeling of having my mouth full of something crunchy.

I am continually striving to eat my chocolate slower. This is one of my few vices and I want to make it last! Otherwise I eat too much.

I think it's important to pay attention to these 'weird' food habits. If they help to keep us healthy, help to keep us eating well (and not binging or doing other unhealthy things) then let them be and don't worry about them.

Similar to your pretzel thing, I have wierd habits with my m&ms...I will either sort all the m&m by color and eat the color that has the most first or I will make groups with one of each color and eat them by groups.

I thought it would be interesting to find out if ANYONE else has established WEIRD eating habits since starting their weight loss journey?!

Ill tell you mine so you know what I mean.... I do the following because for SOME ODD reason to me it makes them taste better, and makes me feel like I am eating more (though I know I am not). I have a feeling I am the only one lol but here ya go

I never did these til I started my journey.

1. When I eat mixed vegetables and rice...I HAVE to mix them together.
2. When I eat meat I HAVE to cut them into SMALL tiny pieces.
3.I have oz of pretzels everyday, and I HAVE to line them up in 4 pretzels,3 pretzels, 2 pretzels,and 1 pretzel for EACH side of my mouth. Meaning 4 for right and 4 for left and so on.
4.When I eat my sandwiches for lunch (I eat 2), I eat one pickle. I HAVE to eat half pickle with each sandwich BUT I have to eat that piece of pickle with the top and bottom crust of the bread then I put it down and do the same for sandwich # 2. Then put it down and go back to sandwich one eat the sides, do the same to sandwich 2, and then I HAVE to eat each sandwich in a circle.
5. WHen I consume Baked cheetos I HAVE to take tiny bites.
and FINALLY...
6. Whne I consume popcorn my husband has to eat MOST of his before I do mine or else mine wont taste good. I also eat it one kernel at a time

Wow I sound crazy. Oops Haha..eh anyone else?!
