Hey ladies, I've just about caught up on my Zs and as long as there is no vomit today DD gets to go back to school tomorrow!

As of this minute - I'm back on the wagon.

I will say I did try in the hospital - ordered salad or healthy options for my meals. They serve 2 meals in pediatrics. One for the child and one for a parent. So I didn't have to worry about vending machines. However, stress did get the best of me a couple of times with those little pudding, ice cream, jello desserts. Haven't gotten on the scale - so I don't know the damage yet.

Planning on a run this afternoon if I can get her to laydown and relax a few minutes.

Thanks ladies. When it rains .. . it pours

My friend who is a nurse told me how to space the night time meds so I could sleep. Well, 30 minutes before the med I was going to sleep through . . . she got up vomiting. Good news is her breathing was fine and if it wasn't for the tummy virus she seems to now have we all could have slept. Looks like the party tomorrow has to be cancelled. My other daughter is going to be crushed. I asked Jessica why she couldn't have thrown up at the hospital, at least then someone else would have to clean it up. She laughed and said that was the point of doing it home. She hasn't lost her sense of humor

Geez Deb, you sure know how to have fun. Glad to hear she is doing okay, well better anyway. If she is feeling better enough to be bored and drive you crazy that is always a sign they are feeling better. Hope you can get some rest. Sounds like it is much deserved. Hope you find out what happened to. Sometimes not knowing what happened is the worst part.

sorry, I haven't slept since Fri. No worries, she was released last night and is home driving me crazy. She has allergies and asthma and started wheezing Saturday night. I was up with her every 3 hours and took her to the Dr sun am. Dr gave her back to back treatments that they normally use in the ER, a drug she's never had, and steriods. Still wheezing we were sent to the ER. At the ER she again had back to back treatments of this drug and IV steriods. Still wheezing we were admitted. Sun night she is covered with hives. Turns out that this drug they've been treating her non-stop with may possibly contain peanuts and soy. She is deathly allergic to peanuts and slightly allergic to soy. So, after a very long stay with lots of drugs and oxygen they finally released her . . still wheezing . . last night. sigh. Turns out they have no idea if it was the drug or if soemone in the ER exposed her to peanuts - but they seem to think that peanuts were part of the problem with her recovery. Asthma attack should have been a quick ER stay - not a long visit with threats of PICU. Wish I could get an answer but everyone is scared I'm trying to point a finger - but I really just want to know so I can be sure it never happens again!
Anyhoo - I'm tired, she's bored but all is well - although still wheezing. I have med for her every 4 hours and they'll see her on Sun to decide if she can return to school. Life as a mom - never a dull moment. I'm off to bake brownies for my older daughter to bring to school tomorrow for her birthday - BTW house full of people expected Sat for party - YIKES! When these brownies are done and my hubby get home I hope to pass out.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
