So what happened to everybody, or anybody??? I was there at about 10 minutes to 2 and stayed awhile. There was nobody milling around in the parking lot near the playground, just a couple of families with very small children playing in the playground. I apologize if I missed anybody who may have been there.
For the next walk I think we need to come up with some sort of a system to identify ourselves as SparkPeople. Anybody have any ideas?
I didn't like the directions off Map Quest so I was going to take a ride today and see what the name of that route was and my knees are bothering me and I didn't want to drive. I was afraid if I had to stop fast I wouldn't have the reflexes to do it. I had the shots on Friday and my knees are still sore.
sounds good to me its not to far from me and i should be able to attend. i am coming of from not working for a month because of a broken toe so i will do my best to have the day off but if work schedules me i wont be able to make it only for the reason of not working

SKATERGIRL81 That is on my list of possibilities. When I was checking trails out, it seemed a bit long though. I have to consider everyone and their fitness level. I picked a mile because if people wanted to they could stop and if others wanted to do another lap they could. You can't stop in the middle of a trail. You have been there, tell me about it.
What a great idea, however, I will have to pass. I pick up my daughter from school at 2 (then the others at 3:15), so this time of day doesn't work for me. Hope to be able to do one another time though.
That sounds great. It's too far for me though i'm going to skip this one. If we did one in Chesire at the Chesire canal I could do that area if anyone is inerested in meeting there at some point in April. Great parking , bathroom don't open up till Memorial Day though. It's right near a Mc Donalds though where I make my pit stops to use bathrooms. Bike trail really nice area for walks, safe and good for bikers, roller bladers.
OK The first walk of the season will be held at Walnut Hill Park in New Britain. I tried contacting the people at the other place and no such luck. I emailed twice and left three phone messages. The only thing I can think of is it's not open yet. We can meet in the parking lot near the playground at 2pm In case of inclement weather I thought we could meet at Westfarms Mall and walk the mall.
Please sign up using this thread if you are going to walk. This way we will know about how many will be showing up
