That's great with the sale! I'm having a difficult time because first it was my tooth, then my car and my cell phone. Looking forward to tomorrow when I'm hoping to get a handle on all of this. For now, I'll just leave everything and go for a walk.

The center did well with the sale. I finally got a good night sleep. Feel a little better this morning but have been up since 5 and it is almost 8 now. So bet I will need a nap later. LOL
Hope all goes well with your tooth, know what that is like.
Wonder how Kathy is doing? Hope I got name right, I am so bad with names but trying real hard to get better.

Hello! It must be a good tired with a sense of accomplishment. Not much on my front. Broke a tooth but it isn't a surprise because I wasn't able to bite on that side for a while now so I knew sth was off. I have a dentist appointment Wednesday anyway so will take it from there. My brother went away and am not sure to where. Maybe I'll find out later on. I think he went to the beach. How did the sale go?

Thank you! He appears better today. I just got back from the museum and lunch with a friend at the Greek Festival and my brother invited a friend and they're watching a soccer game. Looks like you're really busy in the swing of things. One of my neighbors is reading I am Malala book by the Afghani girl who stood up for education and was shot by the Taliban. I didn't have any other recommendations for reading so my plan is to read that over the weekend to see what the younger generation is reading. May the sale be a tremendous success!

Hope your brother is doing better today.
Been so busy yesterday and tomorrow will be very busy as we are doing a "yard"sale thing for the senior center. Need to be at fair oaks school by 8:30 and sale starts at 9. Should be a fun and very busy day, lot of walking around and just busy time.

I didn't even have a tv set when I was on my own. Had internet and was busy with that but I've never been big on tv. My brother watches lot's of tv. He's sick again. He's been sick 5 times since the start of winter and now he's got sth very contagious on his face that he's taking an antibiotic ointment for. If he was my child maybe he'd listen to me sometimes and it wouldn't be like that but he does his own very thing which is most of the time the exact opposite of what family tells him. On a bright note we just had a very nice conversation with our aunt and uncle with all four of us on the phone at the same time because it was my uncle's 80th birthday. I was looking forward to my brother going away for the weekend but now with this infection I'd rather he stay and rest some. It looks like he's staying in tonight which is a good thing.

Been busy, decided to cancel cable but keep internet. Cost way to much money for the tv. Nothing to watch, anyways. Went to a lunch in honour of seniors and had a great time.

In the middle of running my searches now. I think I have to continue searching as long as I don't have the offer. That's what my brother was doing and he's an expert at job search because he gets a new, better job within 3 months each time he's out of work which doesn't happen often. Tracking is a problem because yesterday I had a go at a small can of sweetened condensed milk and that in itself is 1,300 calories and that's just little bit of milk & sugar, that's all it is. Have a great weekend with all the endeavors you have planned! I'm planning on walking & going to the library later today. Weekend should be quiet because my brother is going away. I'm meeting a friend at the museum Saturday and we might venture on to the Greek Festival afterwards so that should be fun.

I planted a bit more then made 3 more steps. I work again tomorrow and then I will be able to get myself together for the trip on Friday. I will be able to do more steps next week as most things are planted and ready to roll. Glad you got to talk with the people for the job. It doesn't matter how many times you have to talk to those who could employ you as long as they don't stop asking you in.

Thank you very much! So I was sick all morning but the interview was thankfully in the afternoon. Made it OK ahead of time taking route 9, 17 & 77 which would be the preferred way to go because on the way back I took 95 & 91 and that was congested through New Haven. As far as the interview I think it went OK although it's very hard to tell with those. I met mostly with 2 women in charge but am little bit confused because originally they said there would be a phone interview followed by an in-person later. Then they called and wanted me to come in from one day to the next so I thought they had a sense of urgency and now they said today this is just a preliminary meeting in the entire process. Oh, well: plenty of time to think it through I guess which is a good thing. If they agree it went OK as well next step would be another interview with more people in it. I am so thankful to God for seeing me through today.

I planted the pots today and some more of the plants as well as moved a few. The breaks in the rain helped. Got jobs for the rest of the week. Can't wait for the weekend but hope the weather holds as they say. Good luck with the interview. I track but it is not always good news lately.

You're in my thoughts and prayers so that it all goes well with the new med. Sometimes our fears take the best of us and especially with all the fine print on medication pamphlets. Once I read everything the pharmacy gives me to read or worse, online, I don't want to take anything. Trust it will help. Positive excitement on my front because the company from Guilford called already today and invited me to come in ... tomorrow! So it's been little bit crazy past couple of hours but I have just now finished getting ready and had lunch (at 4:30). Yes, we need to get better with tracking. I'll let you know how it goes later on tomorrow.

I just am not getting into tracking. I really need to get a handle on it. My sugars have been in low 100's and I think that is good, but could be better. I get the new meds tomorrow and will see how things go. I am praying for no bad side effects but preparing just in case.
Well we are getting the rain so hope it helps with your plants.
We both need to do better with the tracking. Hope your job searches are getting better.

I totally forgot about that with the strawberry plants. I will have to take them out once they are big enough and leave them out during the day, then bring them back in at night.

I was able to rest most o the day. I needed it and slow was the movement. I went over on calories as I had 2 slices of bread instead of 1. I hope to get more done on the garden after school tomorrow. Let you know. Good that you could have a nice day with family. The strawberry plants will need to be outside at sometime as that is the only way that they get pollenated. Just don't leave them out after they form.

Had a great time with my family! Not so much to begin with but after dinner my dad and my brother had work to do on the computer in my brother's room and I was talking with my stepmom. I don't think I'm very talkative but we talked for hours and it was very enjoyable. I was really blessed today. Have only water to show for today though.

Yesterday I was thrilled to be able to do my kickbox cardio DVD with no problem until the very end when something and I have no clue what happened to my neck at the very end of it. That's why I needed my brother's help because I couldn't lift anything. But I think it went away today so I am brand new. Now onto the last minute preparations for my dad and stepmom's visit. Water and exercise is all I have but am happy with that. Got sewing machine set up yesterday and started working on placemats and I also bought this panel with owls on it and gonna make a Big pillow out of it. Got strawberry plants started and will replant when bigger into large pot to keep in doors, so I might get one and not have the animals taste test them all.
Sounds like you both got a lot done yesterday as well. Congrats to us all!!

Fat is the only thing that was 4 over. Not bad but I am sure I worked it out putting in the garden watering system and setting up the cages. As soon as the plants have hardened out well enough they will be into the garden. Should be by next week early. I can set up a few more things to be ready for the plants. They should thrive with all the things in the soil to help them now. Tired and glad one more day before returning to work,

Must be a great sense of accomplishment having yourself make something that works and is enjoyable. I think my biggest accomplishment today was having my brother help me clear the rest of my neighbor's kitchen stuff from our kitchen. After asking him for a couple of days today he got us boxes, helped with packing and went with me to Goodwill to donate it. I'm very happy nothing except a couple of chipped items went to waste. I also refused to eat more cookies and had 3 and asked my brother to hide the rest of the package. He said I need to have more self-control and I told him to hide it well and be supportive. Self-control was also the topic, kind of, of tonight's sermon. Thing is can't suppress it too much because it tends to rebel in other areas.

That is good about the scale, they do help a lot.
Can not wait to plant garden. Senior center still has not started the garden spots. So waiting on that, hopefully by then it will be okay to put plants in ground.
Hope you are feeling stronger each day. The flu can knock you for a loop.
I finish Cassie's gift completely. Was not sure if I was gonna turn it into a clock and well I did that this morning and it works. Really happy how it turned out.

It was a much better day for me and I exercised and have water for yesterday. I tracked and measured but there was some confusion about how many calories were in D'Angelo's Caesar salad so I don't know what the final count is for my calories. Today I have to get ready for my dad and stepmom visiting tomorrow. Summer time is when we see more of them although my brother is at the beach every weekend in the height of summer. A couple of weeks ago I got a small food scale from Bed & Bath (it was only $5) and it's been a big help because previously I was confused with portion sizes for meat and cheese especially and now the guesswork is out.

I let my appetite take over at dinner and went over with fish and chips. I hadn't eaten in 8 hours and that is not good as I am still recovering and get weak. We got the garden rototilled with peat moss and 1 of the fertilizers on it. The cow manure came tonight and it was put out with flashlights. Rototill tomorrow if it doesn't rain too much. I would like to get the water system in with the basket placement so veggies can get put in when they are harden out. Working 3 days next week so maybe a day off in the middle will allow this. Glad you got the call on the job so that there is hope. I would also like to get rid of weight not lose it.

Muscle weighs more but you look better with it. So you never know.

I forgot to post last night. I was able to rest in between cleaning efforts yesterday but worked today and visited a friend for a while so no real work just took care of the birds with food and a water change. I was luckily able to buy all the vegetables I needed today at the school. All is well and other than weak I am better. It must be hard to find a job and trust with the previous experiences. Glad to know you have lost weight. I wish the work I have put in would show. Maybe if I stop building all this muscle I will show a loss.

Congratulations on the weight loss! I used to test computer software and am still looking in that field although it underwent major changes since the last time I worked in it. In the meantime I went back to school and got a graduate degree in business so that's another area I'm looking in. The job with a foreign company was supposed to be a virtual testing lead but they are too much of a start up I'm afraid. I no longer have the tolerance to start something and then find out I'm not getting paid as it already happened to me a couple of times. My family is also very keen on that and whenever I tell them I have an interview they inquire about the chances of getting paid. So I'm looking in a couple of areas but so far to no avail. Thing is I shouldn't allow it to dictate my mood so much because if there is a promising job to apply for I'm all excited and if there isn't, I'm down. I really shouldn't be moved by it like that but I am.

I am still showing a weight loss even though my daughter does not think it is possible. I am not dieting in her opinion and no exercise, even though I have gone to just sitting all day to going to center and yes I do sit but I also walk around much more. Oh well the scale does not lie to much, LOL.
I am a little confused by the jobs. What type of work are you looking for if you don't mind me asking.
Hope you are feeling better and the flu is gone or at least not as bad.

I hope you are feeling better. The fl is not a good thing to have.
I finished Cassie's Mothers day gift and started to work on my placemats again. Got all the strips cut this morning and the backs. Just need to cut the filling and then can start to sew. Just have the edge to do on the first one, but still need to work on putting the other 5 together. This is fun and can not wait to learn another way to quilt. Ellie is a good teacher and knows so many different crafts.

I will take water for today only as I have the flu and eating is not a big thing to do. I will go back to bed now and talk tomorrow. Taking tomorrow off work too. I have a friend to pick up at the airport tomorrow night so rest is all I want to do and be sure that I am over this. The staff had been having this flu come through at the High School so I guess I got it. Boo.

I finished the large section down the north side of the house. I will start the smaller connecting section possibly tomorrow. I got 9 more bags delivered today and used 2 so far. Work tomorrow at the High School then home to work outside again if possible. Weather will tell if I can. A new person sounds great. More the merrier.

Happy Mothers Day! The day didn't go as planned because I had some pain and had to lie down and take a huge dose of ibuprofen. I would like to take only water today as I don't think that I ate well on a tracking. Had a good day enjoying bake goods at breakfast and at a special treat at church today. Not to bad on the regular foods but with all the exercise I have had this week I don't believe this day will hurt. I did have a good visit with all the kids and got gift cards for local greenhouse and Home Depot. I have decided to get moving on more steps this next week and finish up before the next weekend. Working Mon. and Tues. If no job Wednesday will work on them. Glad your day was good.

Happy Mother's Day!
My oldest gave me a set of petite bakeware. I hate dragging out large cooking sheet just for me, so this is awesome. It has a baking sheet, crisper and roasting pan. Also a gift card for google.:) Youngest have not heard from. :( Just know she is going out with her friend and getting their nails done for moms day. Day is early she might remember to at least text me a happy moms day.

I am exhausted and have a hurt finger again from having made 12 more steps. I have more to do as I am expanding project. Maybe I can be done by the time I leave on Memorial day weekend trip. I have not eaten to much today because I was working most of the time. Glad For the rest tomorrow. Have a Great Mothers Day.

Have water and exercise for yesterday and only water for today. We got a lot of kitchen stuff from my neighbor's house and everything is sitting on the kitchen table waiting for my other neighbors to come in and help themselves. Some were in today. My hip is better and I can't wait to get back into kickboxing again. I'm thinking of doing a segment with punches only because all the hips have to do for that is do a slight pivot so maybe that's what I can do tomorrow. Was a great day weatherwise here. Looking forward to a new week.

Went to an art show at senior center last night. Had a great time. Got home and was up till 11 watching granddaughter. watching her again tonight to probably early morning as they are going to late night bingo. I would keep her over night but no place for her to sleep. Since she is not feeling well Mary can not let her sleep near her. So I will let her rest on my lap. So think I am in for another very long night.

I would say that up and down stairs as my major exercise. It wasn't long but did occur. Long day with 4 1/2 hours of driving. No other things to say as tired.

Water and exercise for yesterday. The closing on the house next door is Monday and all is set. The new owner is either "on vacation" or "away on vacation" following that. I'll guess we'll find out soon enough. I got really upset about some jobs yesterday morning and went straight for a cheese sandwich and then went out for a shake at McD.

I love beets slowed baked. They are sweet and so good. Never liked them till I tried roasting them slow and long. MMMMM!!
So what did she make for dinner? Only a few more steps, you must be so happy. Then you can stand back and look at your handy work.

I was able to get 4 more steps made and hope to finish this Saturday. It was a busy day and came home to find out that dinner was being made by future daughter n law so off to work outside. What a great surprise and blessing today. Off to Belmont tomorrow. Depends on the tiredness if I post tomorrow.

I was craving beets and asked my brother to get me a jar of grated ones from the Polish store. Instead, while he was at a farm he bought me 5 or more pounds of large beets. I had to peel them, they cook at least 2 hours, cool 'em & grate 'em. Today is my second time making them. But as much as I'm complaining they are well worth it because they taste like nothing else. I could have bought canned ones but the canned ones don't taste like the ones I'm making.

Water and exercise is what I have. I am slowly discovering what it is I can do with this hip because it's been two weeks and it's still there. Good news is it hasn't rotated (problem I had a while ago) and I can do walking. It's a great thing to be productively busy.

I didn't track but believe I was on point but will take water only. :) Yes I am glad it is lyme and hope the meds help, so far it does not seem to but at least pain med seems to be helping. Been really busy and think I shall get even more busy. Almost finished my first quilted placemat. I am learning at senior center. I have always wanted to learn to quilt. This is called strip quilting(?). Also should be starting veggie garden there soon. Plus I call bingo and will be starting some of the exercise programs, they are free and set up for older folks like me. :) I might even cancel gym membership and save the $10 a month and go to center for free. Also working on a ying and yang plastic canvas clock for Cassie(mom's day gift). It is a black and white cats that make the ying and yang. Gave Mary a purse she really wanted.

New neighbors how exciting. It is good you like where you live, it always helps tpo be happy at home.

I cleaned house and poured 4 more steps as my exercise. Looks like I will need 12 more steps and I will be done, I hope. Need more Quick Crete to complete it. Should be able to finish by Saturday. Glad about the it just being Lyme if you can call it just but there is at least meds to help. Worked a 1/2 day today and will have 2 more full days the next two days. Good weather is helping a lot.

That's great news! I have water and exercise to show for yesterday. It's been lot's of activity in my neighborhood with the house next door being emptied out since it's going to new owners soon. It looks like the new owners are a young couple. Didn't talk with them but they seem friendly. I'm very appreciative of the place where we live. It's so close everywhere.

Well it seems she has lyme, so she is on pain meds and antibiotic. Will recheck in a month and will know what to do at that time. So have at least a month. "smiling"
Glad the claritin is helping and you can sleep in.

I went over at dinner so there I am. I put in two more steps today and moved a lot of things like grass and pacasancdra (??). I am better now on Claratin . I am tired and glad for a sleep in tomorrow morning. If you can let your dog be home with you and make her comfortable you will be better. Hope it all goes well.

Just because it is not showing in weight, does not mean you are not losing. Muscle weighs more then fat. So you could be just adding muscle. :)
Walking in the park when you do must be nice. We do not have any nice parks close by me.
Calling vet this morning for Foxy, she seems to be having more problems with moving and I am really worried about her. I do not want to put her to sleep but I fear that is what the vet is going to say. I will do what is best for her, but I am sure you both understand how I am feeling. We have been together for over 10yrs and she means the world to me. emoticon
