Today is my monthly measurements day and almost all were down so I'm very happy with it. Yesterday was rather simple with going to the grocery store, chasing jobs and cooking dinner which was super easy because it was our meatless/fish Friday. I'll be getting two books from the library by Denise Austin so am psyched about that. I'm little bit puzzled about what you're doing in Boston but am happy it went well for you. Have a great weekend!

Quick pop in as I was gone until 8:30 tonight and then was able to sit down and play a few games with my daughter and husband. I did well with eating but not tracked so who knows for sure. I hope you both have a great weekend even with the snow showers coming in. If people were not asleep over the garage I would put the car in so don't have the snow on it to clean off if I go out tomorrow. Good day learning in the Temple in Boston today.

It's great that you're keeping busy and going to the gym is a big milestone and highly commendable. Today was a big day in New Britain with the official opening ceremonies of the CTFastTrack, a rapid bus system from New Britain to Hartford on a dedicated road. The project cost half a billion dollars and took 10 years to complete. The bus line opens tomorrow and will be free for the first 9 days. Because I have an old car I welcome this development and got my brother to go on a test ride the day before Easter. This completely eliminates problems with the roads, traffic and parking and is very cosmopolitan. It's the first service of this kind in New England and it is said to bring a lot of much needed development to New Britain. I'll post my stats later.

Sorry I keep going mia, just been so busy the last few days. Hardly and get near the computer. Granddaughter keeps me busy when she is here and going to senior center and gym. Slow going at gym but know I can do it. Sugars are still not that good but we will see.
Good to see you both are doing well except for headache which I hope has gone away.

I didn't work again and spent the day home. I really love to do that every once in a while. I worked on the computer and caught up on shows. Quilting doing well and played a game with granddaughters. They have moved in with my son and his fiancÚ for a while as things are not good at her house. Off to Boston tomorrow.

Hope that headache goes away and you have a great day tomorrow. Today was a very good day for me. Went to the gym & later went to see Do you believe?. All I'd heard about this movie before was that it's a good Christian movie highly recommended to see. And so it is. I not only wasn't disappointed but really loved it and am thinking of seeing it again. It's a story of 12 different people whose lives intersect. Great acting and I had only 2 tissues on me which was not enough.

Tonight I start the pill to help sugar, will see what happens. Had Ari almost all day, Tired and feeling it in my shoulder and back. Tomorrow going back to gym. Just gonna walk on treadmill for a little bit. Will need to work my way back. Also taking a friend, she is thinking of joining a gym so thought she might this one. Then we are going to the senior center to chat and maybe have lunch. So will be a busy day.
It is good that kids learn the importance of donating blood. It can save a life.
Glad you had a day to rest. :)

I was able to work today then come home and get my seeds planted. Now to keep them watered and growing. It will be a week or more before I see them but they are all in little green house growing cells. I was very proud of the students that came into the blood drive today at school. I had no idea that many would come (57).

sorry for my absence. It has been very hectic the last few days. Party was good and I did not over do it. Yesterday was on the go until late and went straight to bed. Today was the appointment about sugar and going back on pill I stop taking a little bit ago. Gonna give it another try. He does not want me on insulin right now, wants to try to control with meds, eating right and exercise. We will see. Tired and heading to bed.

I worked on the house this morning then off to work. Came home to daughter stopping by and then pick up my husband as his car broke down today and needed a bit of work. We had a family dinner then a night of playing games. Frustrating day at work but good end.

My brother brought stuff from a bakery yesterday and today he went to the store and brought back banana bread. There is no getting away from all of this stuff that's in my face all the time. My last two weigh-ins were good and I'd like to keep it up but there is just so much temptation around.

Today was better than yesterday. I didn't log in at all as I was gone most of the day and was tired. Between the cabin fever party, the play at the High School, and out to dinner after I eat too much. Today was a little more relaxed with church and a memorial service then home to relax. 1/2 day at Middle School tomorrow.

Thank you! We had a guest speaker last night and it was good. I usually sleep late over the weekends but this morning I woke up at 5 and didn't go back to sleep. I went shopping, exercised at home and we had a guest over for the big soccer game he and my brother were watching. Tomorrow I have to go and get the mammogram done but get to do my new workout earlier so that's sth I'm looking forward to. Also, the temps will be raising beginning Tuesday. Have a great week!

I'm back to my old self: exceeding calories again. Today was a meatless day and I was so bound on getting enough protein that I overdid it. Looking very much forward to my workout tomorrow. I get to do the kickboxing again. Cardio is not my favorite there but sculpt with weights definitely is. Have a great weekend!

I am still feeling a bit of tired from the blood donation. Hoping tomorrow will be better. Will go to a cabin fever party in the morning then to the play Les Miserable at the High School in the afternoon. They called it off tonight and will run it twice tomorrow. Cleaning is always an exercise.

That counts and burns major calories. In the fitness tracker it's under house cleaning. Also, if you're walking for a continuous 10 minutes that counts as well.

Wow on the card being used elsewhere. That has happened to my daughters husband card.
Do not try to eat to make calories, eat what your body feels it needs.
I not sure you can use cleaning room as exercise but I hurt and feel good at same time. Only did half of my room but it is so much nicer and organized. Started with my plastic canvas stuff, but it looks so much nicer. Today I did dishes by hand and swept the front porch and the main floor of house. Tired and sore but I think that is exercise.

I didn't make even the lower range calories or fat today. I was actually eating on purpose just to make the calories but didn't and feel stuffed now which wasn't such a healthy choice. Workout was excellent today. Was supposed to go to the gym but really felt like giving it a go at my new kickboxing DVD and I was thrilled to finally have done the sculpt section with weights. I really like it when I can sweat while lifting weights.
What a thing to happen with that ATM card. It's a good thing you were around to take care of it.

Soup/stew sounds very good.
I love when the farmers markets open up and I can get fresh veggies and fruit. To me there is nothing better. Lets hope they are wrong about the snow tonight.

It looks like I'm all recovered but still not big on food. Barely made the lower range of calories yesterday. I cooked a beef vegetable soup and put in 10 different vegetables. It's like a stew. All but one were frozen so it was easy to make. My brother loved it. Trying hard to influence him to eat better and was very happy he even had an oatmeal the other day although he usually frowns on it.

I have had a few people I know get that illness and they say the same thing one minute your ok and the next you can't seem to do anything. We had another have that happen today. Glad your feeling better. It is hard when one minute you are fine and the next you are wondering who let the truck in that hit you.
Kids here have half days tomorrow and friday. Does the school you sub at have them too?
Went out shopping and try to walk around stores to help get my energy and strength back.Next week is the diabetes doctor and hopefully will finally be getting it under control. Hoping that by this time next year, I will have lost some weight and gotten sugar under control and that this new medicine will finally cure the one big illness I got so many years ago from the transfusions. If that happens I should really start to be doing much better this year then the last 20.

I didn't exceed my calories: I was below my lower range because I couldn't eat anything. Monday lunch I reheated corn beef we had at a restaurant Sunday and within a couple of hours I had chills and had to go to bed before 8 p.m.. Yesterday morning was like wind was knocked out of me completely. I could only get a glass of water and had to go back to sleep. Was unable to even make coffee. After that I was OK and was able to proceed with my day although I took it easy and didn't exercise. I have a newly found appreciation for anybody who doesn't feel right because it really was so sudden: one moment I was walking and doing perfectly well and the next I couldn't do anything. There are so many things we take for granted.

I had a good day at school and spent most of the time helping the students work on their projects in the library. My most favorite place to be. No exercise just watered the indoor plants. Caught up on more TV shows before dinner. Working another day tomorrow then we will see. Warm is over for a few days. It will come back and the front flower beds will come to life. Snow left from yesterdays removal all melted.

I was able to get out this afternoon and move the rest of the large amount of snow off my front flower beds. It was heavy as it was a lot of ice involved. I know the bulbs are there and need the sunshine once up. Snow drop are up and about to bloom. I am so glad that I didn't miss them. It also showed me that I really need to get in shape for this spring gardening. Glad to know that the sugar is better. Maybe the meds will help more.

Well I will be starting the medicine as soon as it comes in at doctors office. My daughters and I think this is the right choice. Also blood test showed I was in better shape then any one thought.

When you finally tracked hope you did well.
Tomorrow is the day I go to doctor about the new med, daughters are going also. Since this can either help me or make things a whole lot worse. I am a little nervous, I have fought very hard to get here and the thought that this has only 2 out comes makes me wonder. Should I leave well enough alone or try and pray for the best. Next week it is doctor for sugar, that one is not as bad as tomorrows. Pray for me to make the right decision.

I did work at BJ's and best of all is that on a rainy day I didn't have anything better to do. It was a slower day and therefore didn't make goal. I guess that you can only do what you can do. At least it kept me away from snacking or thinking about it. Had croutons to give out.

I made Northwest Vegetable Blend I got at Sam's Club and it's really good with yellow carrots among other things. Didn't even know there were yellow carrots. Ok icecream is gone, so now to behaving better. LOL Gotta get back to gym, it will take a long time to get back to where I was. Good thing is once spring, summer and fall are here, I can spend more time going and maybe by next winter be in much better shape then I am now. One day at a time.

I ate another cupcake and it really does put me over. Had a wonderful trip to Boston area. Got back in time for pizza and games with the family and friends. I will be at BJ's from 11 to 5 tomorrow. Way to go with going out and walking some. Looks like you got much more exercise than I did today because I only walked to a gas station. Got up very early to go to a spinning class but decided to do a job application instead which turned out to be much easier than I'd anticipated. Then got this idea to bake a blueberry cake and got a recipe from SparkPeople and did it and subsequently ate 1/4th of it in 2 sittings... I don't usually bake, not sure what came over me.

I should swing by Bj's and say hello to you. :)
I can not jump rope but use to love to when I was little. Got out both yesterday and today and did some walking, it was around stores but it is better then sitting at home. Today I parked car in one spot and went to one store then dropped off packages and walk to the next 2 stores, so much better.

Slow and steady will see me though to the end.

Going to the gym was the highlight of my day yesterday but I took it easy and burned off fewer calories. Stopped off at Sports Authority and got a jump rope which is sth I would like to get into because it burns major calories and is very convenient.

Had a different type of day at school as teachers had to meet with the principal for goals so I had multiple rooms to be in during the day. 3x's I had no students for most of a block. Got the house taken care of and went to a dinner at church. Cup cakes always do me in. Off to Boston tomorrow. Then home to a game night. I work at BJ's again on Saturday.

I was doing really well yesterday until I had the icecream. Put me over in everything. Today no icecream and bet I do a lot better. Love my oatmeal, had again this morning.
Glad you got the flower beds done, should have some flowers starting in a few weeks.
Costco is a nice place but to me it seems the same a bj's. Get my laundry stuff there so only have to buy it once every few months.

Slow and steady will see me though to the end.

Really wanted to go to Sam's Club for a while now and finally did yesterday but found the drive very stressful. In addition to the usual heavy traffic had to look out for potholes but am glad it's done and over with and I have my favorite coffee and a couple of items that I'll be using till the end of the month. Costco is scheduled to open very close to where I am in New Britain in the fall.

Snacks do me in and today was long. I was good with fats so it wasn't bad over all. Quilting was fun and the day wasn't too bad with the kids. Working tomorrow so the week has had a good theme. Finished the snow bank on my back flower bed tonight as there is still daylight after getting home from quilting. 90 mins later it is in a good melting level.

I've been experimenting with not wearing orthotics in my sneakers for a while now and I think because of it my hip rebelled. To work around it I went to a spinning class this morning. It was awesome and the traffic was so light there by the gym which is by the mall. Have so much time now. Such a super day to be outside but I think I'll rest my hip today.
I forgot to set the oatmeal overnight and ended up running between the microwave and the island to stir it for good 10 minutes this morning. Am all set for dinners for a couple of days because I made my own version of Chinese food last night and there is a lot of it. Very basic: chicken tenders, brown rice, broccoli & peppers (I used frozen).

Sounds like you ladies had a very good day yesterday.
I made my over night oatmeal and it was as yummy as I remembered. I use a 1/2 cup oatmeal(not instant), 1 small banana broken up, 3/4 cup almond milk(60 cal a cup) and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Needs a crunch factor, so crushed an oatmeal cookie in it. Not as good in calories but tasted awesome. :)

Slow and steady will see me though to the end.
