I was able to finish up the wood cutting and stacking of the wood at my friends with the help of my son and husband. Then off to the backyard to get started on the concrete pathway steps in the garden area. It was a learning how to use the form. Went well. I still need to finish but made 5 forms worth. After the rainy days I will try to make a few more to finish off the area. Then I will be better able to figure out how many bags of concrete mix I need for the next area I want to work on. Did really well all day until the ice cream came in from Cows and Cones. I included a snack but that already happened before. Had to try a they just opened up again. I have so many exercise points this week it won't hurt. I am the only one that hurts and that is the winter muscles yelling at the going to be summer muscles. 1 more day to work outside before I may go back to work. So far no postings but who knows.

Yesterday was my recovery day and those are usually tough on me as I really miss exercising and don't have that much to do otherwise. Went in and out to the mall to check out gourmet tea shop called Teavana. I knew they were expensive but it didn't hit me how exorbitant their prices are until I got there and they didn't have white chocolate peppermint tea I wanted to try because that's only seasonal in the wintertime. Am very excited about a job that came out yesterday and that I applied for.

The personal trainer wants me to a use personal trainer at least 4 times a month but that cost another 120 on top of gym's cost. With the work car needs and I think foxy needs to go the vets, not sure I could even swing that much money.
You both seem to be doing well. Just do not have time this morning to post much more, sorry catch you over the weekend.

Got a lot done with the yard today. I have only one section to check on more then maybe rest as I may go back to work next week. Inside things tomorrow as well as pick up the thermostat for the attic fan. Loving the fact I can just work and not worry about being somewhere or stopping until I finish what I can do or should I say when the body says stop for the day.

I had 6 days in a row where I exercised a lot and today is my recovery day. My neighbor moved out yesterday and the house is up for sale. It is in a good neighborhood but needs work as the owners were elderly. There are two floors with separate 2 BR apartments yet they are not independent as there is no stove upstairs and there might be one boiler per house. Oil heat. The price should be very competitive.

Worked 5 or so hours outside. I still have the berry brushes to do but patio furniture is free of its tarps and cleaned up. Summer bird bath out, winter one put away. front porch is rebuilt. It is hard to believe that it took so long on all things today. Good I have another uninterrupted day to work. Good eating choices today.

I was able to get out into the yard and start the work. I hope to get more time tomorrow and make sure that the berries are trimmed out and sticks picked up. Lots to do other than that but 2 more days at least out of this week to work. Glad things are better with the gym work.

I admire that both of you stay within the range most of the time. Unless I exercise a lot and I mean like 2 hrs I can't stay within the range. My neighbor is moving out tomorrow and it just hit me full force and am very sad although I believe this is a good development for all involved.

I can say that I may sleep better tonight as we have the new car and got a fairly good deal. I still feel a bit nervous but we will see. Insurance did not go up much so that is good news. I was able to get out and get the apple tree pruned. I still need to get it cleaned up and hope to tomorrow before I take the cats to the vet.

Enjoy your vacation! The weather should be perfect for being outside. I didn't know fat was such a big problem for me. I always thought it was sweets causing me to gain weight but right now the biggest problem is fat. Made the calories though.

I didn't do well with calories today as I ate things that were too high in many ways. I did however do well with my lesson today at church and feel less pressure. I still worry about the cost of the car but trust my husband with it will be OK. Starting true vacation tomorrow and hope to get outside and work off the calories.

New car is super exciting! I finally took the new CTFastTrack bus to Hartford yesterday and went to the Wadsworth Atheneum. Wanted to go to lunch and to Bushnell park which partially happened. It felt like taking Metro North to New York even though it's only such a short distance.

I had intentions of outside but lots of things happened so out most of the day away from home. Looks like we may be buying a new car as my husband wants to start a payment while we are both working before retirement. Wonder if he is right. Not looking forward to a car payment for 5 years as most months we don't have that as extra. We will see.

Thank you, he's doing better. Went to work Friday but didn't go out at night as usual.
I had a lot of exercise minutes yesterday because it just happened that way: I did DVDs at home then went to one park and in the evening to the other. It might look like I was trying to catch up with exercise for the week but it happened without trying.

I am way over in calories, so think I will make adjustment to what I am eating but not gonna try and go down as low as she wanted me too. Not right away. Ok I decided to track what I ate yesterday here already. Boy is that an eye opener. My snacks is what did me in. So gonna watch them more closely.
I believe you need to fool the body once in a while, if you seem to be staying the same. Or maybe she is right, maybe this weight is your body's weight.

The body might have gotten used to the number of calories in case you're keeping it steady. Denise Austin recommends what she calls Calorie Confusion. She varies the number of calories by 100 from day to day for 3 days and then starts again. You'd still be within the SparkPeople range. Or maybe you've reached your ideal weight already.

I keep doing the correct amount but no loss of weight. It is frustrating. I hope that the yard work will help. Next week I have off of school for the regional spring break and when it doesn't rain I will work outside. During rain I will work inside. Made a list and hope to get it done. Quilting today was good and now down to 7 squares to finish then wash and it is done!!

Yesterday had meeting with a new dietitian and she wants me to count calories instead of carbs for now. So will be posting stuff on sunday for the rest of this week. My daughter says to keep track on paper and transfer it on sunday and then see how much I am actually eating in calories as to what she wants me to go to. I am gonna do as daughter suggested as I think it makes the most sense. Because if there is a huge difference dropping down to what she wants could just set me up to fail. We will see.
Sounds like you are well on the way to having your looking good.
Do not worry, I am sure with all the walking you did around the stores help you some.

Did a bit of gardening, if planting 4 planters with pansies and putting away the yard tools from winter is gardening. Then did a bit of house cleaning. The dust was high but the floors are worse. I get to work the rest of the week with the job I got today for tomorrow. Yeah good paycheck coming. Hope you day was good even with the lower temps and rain.

Well finally got out and did yard work. The front and back lawns and some of the back flower beds are completed. I need to get the very back and the fruit trees pruned. I will do so by the end of the week. I got a job today and now I have one for tomorrow. Now I only have one non booked day left this week. I just hope I can move tomorrow as the back is not happy from picking up sticks and racking. 12 more squares on the quilt to do. I should be able to finish it by the end of the weekend or at least early next week.

Hello Ladies. I am so sorry for my absence, but have been very busy. I had 2 Easter wreaths to finish and the 4 basket to finish making, plus I was watching granddaughter. Saturday I also made early Easter dinner for my youngest daughter and granddaughters. Oldest went out with her family to have early Easter dinner with SNL family. Yesterday was still finishing the wreaths. Got up at 4:30 and finally finished the last one last night at 7. Gonna give it to Cassie this week. She saw it when I was almost done. She understood and loved it.
Looks as though you both had a good weekend and are doing ok.
Hope neck is all better today.

We went to Milford & it all went great. My stepmom really did such a tremendous job with everything. I don't think we do half of what she's done when they come over but it meant a lot of food. We went for a walk afterwards but I didn't track it. We hit traffic on the way back but my brother was weaving less than usual overall today. And the weather was OK while there & on the way back even though there was thunder in the forecast for them this afternoon. They want us to come back soon because my dad needs help with the fan in the bathroom. Won't be happening next week as my brother's taxes are not done yet but maybe the following week.

It's really important to get all the rest you can if sth hurts. Back in October I tried Pilates and did them every single day. I ended up with a slightly different neck problem because it wasn't to the side but in the upper back and the entire neck. I remembered then what a specialist once told me about avoiding all the unnecessary shocks and rested it although I somehow was able to go walking without aggravating it. Well, we're about to leave for my Dad's to celebrate Easter. We usually do it here and they visit but this year they really wanted to do it there so we're going. Enjoy!

I went over as I got a donut and hot chocolate at D & D. Ahh the wonder of a snack. The neck is better but still have trouble turning to the left. Group for dinner tomorrow. I wish I was as good at exercise as you are but soon that will change with outside work. Rain or no rain next week I need to prune the apple trees and the berry bushes. Soon all will spring up and I would like not to trod down the ground covers. Lots of quilting today and the taxes are done.

Hope you completely recover by Sunday! Happy Easter!
My brother has established his own tradition where he invites his single friends on New Year's Day and on Good Friday for dinner. This year only his male friends could make it so it was a small gathering. I was doing very well today prior to dinner but then didn't track because I'm not sure what my brother put into the food. It just so happened that I exercised more than usual today because I did one of my DVDs and then went for a walk to the pharmacy instead of driving. It began to rain on the way back but I brought my umbrella so I was perfectly fine. We were to try out the new bus transit system tomorrow but I'm not sure yet. We'll see how it goes.

Well did not have the sessions as there was a time mix up. Was suppose to have it this morning but got message last night he was not going to be able to do it today either. So maybe next week. All is well as I am so busy with getting out to center and doing 2 last minute easter gifts for my daughters that I really do not have time. Sugar is still on way down towards normal range, so happy with that. I think it helps that I am not sitting here at computer all day. I am out and enjoying myself and not snacking.:) For the first time in a long time I am beginning to feel happy again.
That is to bad about the park walk. They should have said something.
Hope the neck/shoulder pain has gone this morning.

I was relaxing after a bit of cleaning this morning when the phone rang and I was given a 1/2 day job at the High School. I then went and got an oil change, made dinner, and caught up on things. All the while I have a really bad pain in the left side of my shoulder/neck. I hope it gets better with a good nights sleep.

And how was that session with the personal trainer? Was it helpful?
It's a good thing you don't work everyday although I know how that is with looking out for jobs early in the morning but it's a good thing you have other things to do when the jobs don't come in.
Today was supposed to be a SparkTeam meeting at the park here but I had posted a question about the time of the walk some time in February and didn't receive an answer, not even today so I didn't go to the park.

Cleaned house a bit today and watched back TV shows. It was a relaxing day as I did not have work. I did go to quilting and am finishing up on the row before the last tonight. Yard work awaits tomorrow if I do not work. Keep up the good work.

Sounds like you both are doing well.
I will start tracking again after I see the nutritionist next week. That way I can set the track to track the amount and things I need to keep track of. I feel going to the center is also helping me. As I am not snack or even thinking about food once we eat lunch, which is a perfect size.
Anyways I think we are all doing well and that is great.

It was my recovery day when I rest after 6 workouts in a row. This is usually difficult for me and am not sure if I'll continue with these recovery days although it is a good exercise to see what the calories are without physical activity. Surprisingly I fit into the fat range yesterday and didn't exceed the calories all that much.

I hope the pills will continue to help bring down the sugar. I know you will feel better just from that. No job so far for tomorrow but there is always the morning I have more hope for Thursday as some may want to leave early if traveling for Easter. Quilting tomorrow and I have almost finished the last of the second row of boxes. If home tomorrow I may have that done. Then to quilting to start the last row. Looking forward to Friday weather of 60!!

Thank you but they didn't. It's interesting that years ago I used to work for the same company and similar health insurance companies and I didn't have a clue of what they did because we had a separate employee only insurance that operated according to different rules.
It's a good thing things are going well. I had 25 days I exercised on in March so am happy with that.

Hoping the insurance company agrees to lowering the price of your med.
You have a house full then. It will be nice and also a bit of a strain with everyone under one roof.
Here it is going ok. I feel more relaxed when home now that I am getting out. Also not eating as much so that is good also. Starting taking two of the new pills last night to help with sugar and it was under 200 this morning, for me that is good. So hoping with exercise and not eating as much it will keep going down.

I was able to have a good day teaching then come home and clean the house. Boy did it need it. I am really tired and glad you both had a lot to do. Helped with homework and made dinner. All is well so far with the added people in my house. I may have forgotten to tell you my son and his fiancÚ with the 2 girls moved in until they find a place to rent.

It's an excellent thing you're doing with being out of the house and getting professional help with the exercise program. A while back when I was at the old gyms (there was a time I belonged to 2) I did individual and group personal training but that was not my favorite thing.
It's a big adjustment with having other people live with you even though they are family. My brother is family but we're so different it really makes me wonder: I like warm, he likes cold, etc. etc. Living together is an exercise in forgiveness and giving.
Today I started Easter cleaning and spent some time on the phone with the insurance company trying to lower the price on one of my medications. They will have a decision in tomorrow which is a great thing. I'll post my stats later.

Well back is a bit better this morning. Going to gym to work with a trainer and set up some exercises that will help my back. Then a quick trip to Aldes and then to senior center. So busy day for me, but that is good.

I was able to relax a bit today. I have had quite the week with family situations changing. It isn't all bad but added more people to the house. I did well with eating as I wasn't in the mood to snack. Now that is how I should be every day. LOL. Working tomorrow but don't know the rest of the week.

My service is Saturday night but occasionally sth happens so that I don't get it in its entirety and have to tune in Sunday a.m. which was today. Later I drove to the park and it turned out there was a bike race there so I had to turn back. I walked close to home to another park. 90% of sidewalks are passable now but some still have old snow on them. Did 2 loads of laundry, wrote out domestic Easter cards, did Reflections which are my quiet time and looked through coupons which are normally don't do but I find that sometimes I can get new cooking ideas from them. I also began working on my April budget. So that was my day. How was yours?

Congrats on the measurements going down.
That is the problem, I never let it get completely better. But am trying real hard this time. Tomorrow have a session with personal trainer. Hope that will help some. Use the right machines to help strengthen core muscles.

Today is my monthly measurements day and almost all were down so I'm very happy with it. Yesterday was rather simple with going to the grocery store, chasing jobs and cooking dinner which was super easy because it was our meatless/fish Friday. I'll be getting two books from the library by Denise Austin so am psyched about that. I'm little bit puzzled about what you're doing in Boston but am happy it went well for you. Have a great weekend!
