Hi. This is my first time looking at the site. I am a Michael Pollen fan.

Today, I ate a bowl of my homemade chicken noodle soup and a olive oil fried egg white for breakfast.
I later had a taco salad.
Before dinner, it was an ounce of green onion/cheddar cheese. Then, some baked fish fillets with sweet potato fries (with ketchup). Dinner was followed by some chocolate, some good and some bad (2 Reese's peanut butter cups)

Whatever It Takes!!

Lunch today was a bought lunch salad from the grocery store with cranberries, orange slices & some nuts in it. I also bought a fruit cup that had red & green grapes I had for dessert, it also had a small enclosed container of cubed cheddar cheese I put on top of the sald. I also added a single serving tin of canned salmon that has spices in it on top of my salad for more protein. I had this immediately when I got home as it was after 2 p.m. It was all on sale 30% off as well.

Breakfast, healthy organic 5 grain granola with almond milk & banana

Lunch vegetable black bean soup . I used a organic soup mix box & added spinach & other vegetables to my hand blender to thicken the soup. I ate 2 large bowls of it.

Supper used other black beans & made a salad with spinach, kale, onions & cucumber, had 3/4 beans for protein on top .used homemade extra virgin olive oil dressing

I have to have a exact same amount of vitamin K daily for my Warfarin blood thinners before I have other vegetables. I get tested in the morning on it. I have clots in both lungs.

Bought gnocchi potato noodles, imported from Italy, 1 lb. $2.00 on sale, I ate 1/2 of the package, that is 1 cup with a spinach sauce I made, the remaining I will put in a soup, the soup will give me enough noodles for 2 more days & less calories then the sauce. I found out on allrecipes.com that they are very simple to make, mostly flour & potatoes made into a log, then slice into small noodles. Later I will try making some homemade.

At a women's center free lunch, had egg salad sandwich, small made with 1/2 slice bread, lentil fresh homemade soup & a good salad that had quinoa in it, this place has healthier lunches then what most people call soup kitchens, maybe because private, not government run. You have regular tea, coffee or spring water with it and dessert was some fresh fruit & a mini muffin.

Homemade veggie pizza for lunch and dinner the next couple of days. I make my own crust, let it rise, divide for two pizzas and add home made marinara sauce topped with onions, peppers, mushrooms, thinly sliced zucchini, olives and spinach. After it's cooked and cooled, I sprinkle with nutritional yeast.

I FINALLY finished these healthy breakfast cookies that I made using a recipe from the momables website. They were AWFUL. All the ingredients were great, but the cookies were tacky/sticky and probably not meant to be cookies in the first place. I would have much rather taken those same ingredients and made energy bites instead. I forced myself to eat them rather than waste food, while my yummy muffins went in the freezer for another day. So glad they are gone, and can't wait to bake something much better this weekend!

Mostly fruits and veg, with some cottage cheese and fish for protein. Only one processed food, some nut thins asiago crackers that tasted awful compared to all the real food. Too highly seasoned!

Very green smoothies are my main thing these days for breakfast.
Big salads for lunch or a vegetable wrap. Yesterday was a huge Mexican style salad.
Last night was a free range chicken with a strawberry, spinach, walnut and farmer's local feta cheese. With a simply berry (homemade) vinaigrette.

Eggs and fruit is my stand by for breakfast. I am trying to get more oatmeal, but I really like my eggs and fruit.

Packed a big veggie and hummus lunch with an vanilla chip and nuts oat bar. (packaged, I know is bad, but it is so easy and not completely horrible) I need to learn to make my own snack bars.

Planning on salmon and veggies for dinner.

hopefully, I will not eat junk mindlessly later in the evening. (I am trying to post more to commit more)

I've had good day's and bad days. Yesterday was a pretty good day with a green salad and a grain salad and water. Today I've sucked down the water, ate some cauliflower & drank some OJ. But the majority of what I have stuffed in was not the greatest of choices.

Did pretty good today. Just coming back from a short holiday where I didn't do so good.
Remembered to have a meal packed for this my late night at work. So that helped me out gobs! OJ and dried cherries for my fruit. Don't really like the cherries so at least I wont over eat on them. emoticon

For Lunch it was 2 morning star hamburger patties and a box of green giant frozen broccoli and cheese. The broccoli might have been real but the cheese wasn't ! emoticon

Today was my day to work late and I didn't prepare. So it was a less than stellar day for the fresh and healthy food train. I had Wendy's for lunch and prepackaged frozen for supper.
I did drink lots of water and ean nuts and an orange. Sadly not a good day. emoticon

I started the day with spinach and eggs, V8, and packed a healthy veggie lunch with some real cheese and nuts.

Planning on salmon and quinoa for supper with a big helping of asparagus.

DJ that sounds so good!

I'm on day 5 of 'pre-week' to the Whole 30, trying to prepare a little.

3 scrambled eggs with brocoli and roasted peppers for breakfast
Large salad with 2 hard boiled eggs for lunch
...
Then dinner happened: 16 oz of plain yogurt and about 1400 calories in nuts emoticon I've been using the nuts to cover my sweet cravings, it's rough! Staying positive though, at least I didn't go for the Ben and Jerry's...

Decided to cut nuts from my Whole 30, though, I'm very bloated today and I know I eat too many! So hopefully 30 days without with reset!

Alex

I hope today and everyday you always find a reason to SMILE.
