Eggs and fruit is my stand by for breakfast. I am trying to get more oatmeal, but I really like my eggs and fruit.

Packed a big veggie and hummus lunch with an vanilla chip and nuts oat bar. (packaged, I know is bad, but it is so easy and not completely horrible) I need to learn to make my own snack bars.

Planning on salmon and veggies for dinner.

hopefully, I will not eat junk mindlessly later in the evening. (I am trying to post more to commit more)

Breakfast was a smoothie with yogurt, banana, spinach and wild blueberries. Made a friend's recipe for chow mein, but added lots of extra veggies. Planning on having kale chips later for a snack.

Since today was nice and spring like we fired up the grill! Made chicken breasts with a spicy marinade. They were delicious and had the good grill flavor! Think Spring!!!

I've had good day's and bad days. Yesterday was a pretty good day with a green salad and a grain salad and water. Today I've sucked down the water, ate some cauliflower & drank some OJ. But the majority of what I have stuffed in was not the greatest of choices.

After not eating much yesterday I had a real meal today at lunch.
hand battered chicken strips, okra & potatoes.

But I didn't have very much for breakfast, so it averaged out.

Did pretty good today. Just coming back from a short holiday where I didn't do so good.
Remembered to have a meal packed for this my late night at work. So that helped me out gobs! OJ and dried cherries for my fruit. Don't really like the cherries so at least I wont over eat on them. emoticon

Put Chia Seeds and Ground Flax seeds in my pancakes. Also sprinkled them with some pecans b4 I flipped them over to cook on the 2nd side. Used Honey instead of Syrup.

For Lunch it was 2 morning star hamburger patties and a box of green giant frozen broccoli and cheese. The broccoli might have been real but the cheese wasn't ! emoticon

Today was my day to work late and I didn't prepare. So it was a less than stellar day for the fresh and healthy food train. I had Wendy's for lunch and prepackaged frozen for supper.
I did drink lots of water and ean nuts and an orange. Sadly not a good day. emoticon

Last night ate pasta, broccoli, chicken and a serving of fruit (apple,orange,pear)
declined the yummy garlic bread! Yeah!!

Lunch yesterday was a baked potato with a serving of shredded pork I had cooked earlier.

Breakfast this morning was steelcut oatmeal with chia seed and 3 dates. I love Dates!

DJ that sounds so good!

I'm on day 5 of 'pre-week' to the Whole 30, trying to prepare a little.

3 scrambled eggs with brocoli and roasted peppers for breakfast
Large salad with 2 hard boiled eggs for lunch
...
Then dinner happened: 16 oz of plain yogurt and about 1400 calories in nuts emoticon I've been using the nuts to cover my sweet cravings, it's rough! Staying positive though, at least I didn't go for the Ben and Jerry's...

Decided to cut nuts from my Whole 30, though, I'm very bloated today and I know I eat too many! So hopefully 30 days without with reset!

I needed to use the kale I bought two weeks ago so, lunch was a bean, kale, and bell pepper bake. Dinner was a cauliflower, garlic, kale bake. Both are very good!

Bean soup for lunch. Dinner was turkey, asparagus steamed, and a salad. My salad dressing was olive oil, lime juice, a garlic clove- minced, and pepper cracked on top. Maybe beans and asparagus were not good choices for the same day?

I fixed scrambled eggs (1 egg, 1 egg white) turkey bacon, and I baked fresh berry buttermilk scones for breakfast.

I had an orange as a snack while I worked on some sewing.

For dinner I had a 6 oz glass of red wine with a chicken and vegetable stir fry and brown rice, followed by a piece of the chocolate cream pie I made yesterday for valentines day. Stayed completely within my points too! Woo hoo! :)

Salad in a jar.
Layers from bottom up:
Homemade vinegarette, 2 TBS
Organic Celery, fine chopped
Organic Baby Carrots, cut lengthwise, matchstick.
Organic Radishes, sliced
Leftover Quinoa, 1/2 cup
More celery, just a little
Cashews, lightly salted, just a few.

I used old used jars that may have had pasta sauce in them. I like them for storing leftovers.
I tried this with plans to take some on our vacation in a couple weeks. Use Ball Jars if you have them.

For tomorrow, I have some more made with white beans.
I didn't order from the farm this week. Next week, we can go there and buy from their little store. They also have a hearty lettuce mix.

I had white bean and avocado wrap made with a cabbage slaw (no mayo) from a recipe I found a long time ago on Web MD. It was really great. It took some time to make as it had a lot of ingredients,but it is worth looking up for something fun and healthy. My meat eater husband liked it too. Although, I could not get my 12 yr old son to give it a try. Maybe next time.

In my CSA package...I got spaghetti squash...never had it before....so...after baking the squash, I scraped out the softened squash, added it to sauted onions, peppers and diced tomatoes....ohhhh yeaaaa!!! that was great!

Fall seven times...get up eight.

God bless my son in Savannah...While I was there...he introduced me to real rice (not minute rice)...and it was so flavorful! also...not being a tea drinker..he took me to a tea room (not Lipton or Tazo) but Real tea...yea...I'm hooked...

Just goes to show how much better real foods taste!

I packed a lot of great stuff, all fresh, etc for lunch. Then the donuts showed up and I was encouraged to eat one, and so I did, to be one of the girls. I ate it when I do that. Sabotagers!! They are out there and they keep calling my name.

I make my own spaghetti sauce. I am trying to cut down on purchasing food that is already prepared. I also cut down the amount of pasta that I use by adding spaghetti squash.

Making Humus from the ground up made the beans from dried package they came out great even had some in my salad last night!

Today with visitors coming will serve Humus with my small pretzel twists or
ezekiel bread

I'm back on program, went off (eating gluten) and now I'm suffering! I get such intense knee and hip paing. And I know better! emoticon

Had grapes for breakfast. This is the only time I eat fruit.

Today is my first day back on my healthy eating program. I had fruit smoothies with bananas, blueberries and nectarines. All organic of course.

I also made a wonderful green juice with lettuce, tomatoes, celery, garlic, carrots and cucumbers. Yummmo!

I did not consume all the food I made. I am very full and very tired right now. I am going to bed shortly.

The only super powers I want are Kindness, Gentleness, Patience and Peace of Mind.

Today, I sort of got adventurous for breakfast. I am a bacon and eggs kind of person, but I thought I'd try to be different. I ate a cut up peach with yogurt (blech!) and organic granola on top. I know this is a common "recipe", but I have never tried it. I liked it! It was pretty filling. I made it breakfast and what I couldn't finish, I ate for a snack. emoticon

I had my regular plain Greek yogart with fresh blueberries this morning for breakfast and for lunch I had a hardboiled egg on a rye crisp with some avacodo mash. It was really good. Hubby and I will be going to a meeting tonight so we will be eating out and I am not sure where he wants to go. I usually select from healty appitizers or salads in the evening
