Last night, someone was burning something in their yard that smelled a lot like weed, LOL!
My darling groom likes to gather the wild garlic and onion that crop up voluntarily. Other than that, there aren't any weeds we'd want to eat - not knowing what creatures roam the yard, haha!

My gram cooked burdock (and pickled it) and stinging nettle. She would also wrap chicken in the huge burdock leaves and then grill it.
There is a great book out there with lots of weed eating know how http://www.ashtreepublishing.com/bookshop/ healingwise.php
though it has a bunch of other stuff you may not be interested in, it gives a ton of info on identifying, digging or cutting and cooking them. I borrowed it from the library years ago.
We are actually eating a spring dandelion salad tonight with a roasted garlic dressing and my children grew up eating dandelions, chickweed and burdock- I let them grow right in my garden so they never knew they were weeds! We also make dandelion wine :)
Goals: Measuring both of my dogs starting tomorrow. My eating plan (I hate calling it a diet!) begins today. I will be accountable for everything I put into my mouth. I will also try to get in 60-90 min of cardio each day.
May be kind of funny. Does anyone eat weeds from their back yard? I am curious if their are edible weeds that might grow in my backyard. I once talked to a lady that did eat a certain weed that grew in her back yard. She mixed it into her salads and she liked it. But I don't know what it is. Wouldn't it be nice to have a edible garden in your back yard and you didn't even know it. This can just be a fun topic.
