I've lost 8 lbs. since January 7, when I promised myself I was going to start going down instead of up. We winter in AZ, and all of the potlucks and Happy Hours really do a number on me, even though I walk about 3 miles most days. I decided to kick wheat products to the curb when we got home, a month ago, and I think that has really helped. After reading Dr. William Davis's book, 'Wheat Belly', I was convinced that modern wheat isn't healthy for us. Learning a new way of cooking has been a challenge, but I already feel better, which tells me it's the right thing to do.
I can do this, one step at a time.

I'll stick with Mondays (since I lost today - lol) now 194. I refuse to get upset at the SLOWNESS of loss but continue sticking to my goals and waiting for my body to catch up. Thanks for the encouragement & accountability!
