Thanks Christie! I am back to counting every morsel that goes in my mouth. I can't believe how much weight you lost! Was the last ten pounds hard for you? Do you have any special secrets to do this? I am sure my knees (both are bone-on-bone) contribute to my lack of exercise, but I don't think exercise is a big factor in major weight loss.

workout in yesterday and today and good eating. Really need to cut my portions too if I want to take off 5lbs of real weight I know - it's super hard being light and trying to lose anything....
Sally - not my wedding but thanks :) I am just a guest thank goodness! Been married 12 years with 3 beautiful kiddoes - 8, almost 5, and almost 2! Great job both of you losing too - I am too nervous to hop on a scale yet - may weight since disappointment would happen and I would lose focus. I need to see the belly pooch deflate first....have a great day!

My husband does the grocery shopping and cooking in our household (which I love since I hate to cook). He is a very creative and excellent cook, but I really have to watch my intake of carbs.

I keep telling him that unless he wants me to weigh what he does (he is 6'1" and 200 pounds; I am 5'4"), I can't eat as much as him.

I just need to watch my sugar and carbs when he cooks those dishes.

Yes, I do find it hard when you are trying to lose a little. I am watching everything I am eating and upted my working out. It has felt good pushing my work out more, helps clear my head. :) Wonderful! I am happy you liked your goodie!!

sorry I have not been around...I've been eating crap!! I am committed to dropping 5-10 though - started today. I have a wedding on the 20th I need to fit into the dress! no crazy starvation schemes - just working out a little harder and eating healthier....the summer of ice cream and cool whip is OVER! :)

I was within one pound of my goal weight in March, 2013. Of course, I think my old scale was two or three pounds too light. My new one is very accurate.

Do you find it is so hard when you need to lose very little?

Awesome, good job Christie!!

Hubby and I went out to lunch yesterday at J Alexander's, ate a healthy ahi tuna salad. I have been cooking all of our meals and can control everything that goes into the meals. We stopped to take our favorite Indian food out for dinner and I went over my calorie count. 135.9 today, I will be down Tmo! emoticon

Thanks for the support!! My highest was 6 years ago at 150, and I am 5'6". I lost the weight and was down to 125 for the last 3 1/2 years. Over the last 1/2 year I stopped weighing myself everyday and let things slip and gained a little over 10 lbs..

Weight today 135.6 (down from yesterday), goal 125.

124.7. Gradually moving down. I'm going to Chicago next Sunday and will be eating at restaurants for a week. Arg. I need to lose a couple of pounds before then to avoid shooting up too high because I can't control the quality of the food I eat. Needless to say, it won't be two pounds, but even a pound would be great and get me closer to my latest weight-loss goal.

where is everyone? I can't believe I am the last post....no weigh no workout after vacation. Need to get back into exercise- didn't eat too badly on vaca but the exercise was lacking!

116 at real weigh in time with cousin red so I'll take it....hoping 2 lbs is cousin red. workout in. Last workout before the trip - going to try to keep this very healthy eating going as I am feeling fantastic! Hope all is well!

hello, ladies! I'm trying to keep active amidst all this trip prep - I'll be MIA for three weeks starting tomorrow :( I'll keep you all in my thoughts as I travel and do my best to stay healthy!

Yesterday, a 25 minute upper body circuit and some more gardening. My fridge is empty, but that's helping me to eat clean while I eat the last of my frozen veggies and lentils/quinoa for clean meals. My body's thanking me for a reprieve from excess sodium - I'm not going back!!!

seeing results (finally!!) with these daily HIIT circuits - I feel stronger, and my hips and thighs are finally getting a bit smaller! got to remember to keep myself on track while I'm traveling to keep my motivation going. daily meditation's helping, too.

Just take five minutes to regroup, and don't ever forget to make time for what makes you happy.

Hi, my name is Idalia. I am back after several years. I had lost 8 pounds successfully using sparkspeople about 9 years ago. And now I need help losing 4 pounds regained since that time. I have had 2 babies since then and lost all the weight no problem. But these recent weight gain is new. Those 4 pounds make a difference in the way my clothes feel. I really want to get rid of them for good. Happy monday everyone! Today is my first day officially on sparkspeople.

ate the walnut butter... but I thoroughly enjoyed it. it wasn't nearly as much as would be in a regular peanut butter jar, and walnuts are higher omega-3 than peanuts, so I'm okay with it.

made a delicious dinner of lentils with kombu and fresh herbs on a plate of roasted curried zucchini. super yummy; definitely going to make again!

today, a 15 mile bike ride around town followed by 40 minutes of gardening.

Just take five minutes to regroup, and don't ever forget to make time for what makes you happy.

mm, Air Supply and watermelon are two of the epitomes of summer smiles for me, ladies :) I'm sure those things brought you two smiles, too!

the counselor and I discovered I eat a lot of times when I'm avoiding taking a break from work... as if eating were productive! I suppose it is... when you're hungry and need fuel :)

I caught myself eating to avoid last night, too, but it definitely wasn't AS bad as usual I would say. Now that I'm aware of the why, it's less daunting. We'll see what happens tonight - I'll do my best to let myself relax a bit!

a tough run with a friend today, and a short bike commute to and from the trailhead and to the bank. wow, trail running is a challenge! tomorrow, another circuit. getting my workouts in before I'm sitting on a plane for hours and hours...

really fighting the urge to eat.all.the.walnut butter I just made.

no weigh in yesterday or today - workout in yesterday! Good job getting moving again chica and you always impress me Kaye! The summer squash was awesome and yesterday we picked out first cucumber - we had it sliced with DH and I and the kids eating it still warm from the sun! Yum - that is why I garden! We are just hanging around today - hope to get a few yellow garden beans in the soil and maybe some radishes before the end of June cutoff for planting. Bought a watermelon at the store yesterday - so good this time of year!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome Cindy!!!

What a busy weekend. Today is DH birthday! Yesterday we started celebrating by going to the premier of Transformers, we waited a; good hour for the movie to start. Today, just few minutes ago we arrived from the Air Supply concert, good memories! And tomorrow is DH's dad and his wife 50th wedding anniversary and their grown up kids are getting together to celebrate the event.

Me, no looking forward to go to the event.

I started again at the gym with the trainer 4 times a week (Mon and Tues/Thu and Fridays)
a full hour of workout. Next week a new set of routine.

ooh that sounds like a blast, Christie! How'd the summer squash taste?

I recently picked a few squash and roasted them with garlic, carrots, and herbs in coconut oil... paired with curried lentils, and it was delish!

40 minute HIIT circuit today. yesterday was a rest day. also going to bike 12 miles to run errands around town.

feeling a bit better after a good convo with my counselor this morning

Dentist went ok - picked a summer squash for dinner tonight...we are growing acorn and summer squash, romaine lettuce, beets, hot and bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes(32 plants!), watermelon, green beans, cauliflower, basil, mint, orgegano, and parsley - wild blackberries and blueberries and strawberries are already done....I think that's all!

that's exciting, Christie! I look forward to hearing more about your garden; as a fellow gardener, not much brings me more joy than picking my harvest each morning (green beans, peas, blueberries, squash, tomatoes, fresh herbs).

yesterday, I got in a 35 minute circuit and a 30 mile bike ride with friends - celebrated with them afterwards eating 2 fish tacos, having a drink, and watching 22 Jump Street.

my body's not used to that kind of exercise (taken some time off), so I've been eating quite a bit! trying to not berate myself for it, but it's always a challenge.

Just take five minutes to regroup, and don't ever forget to make time for what makes you happy.

Hi all! My name is Cindy.
Just back in from a busy June with travels to Vermont and then Texas to see family. It is so very nice to get back home to our youngest son that is on college break and our two emoticon

Today I weighed in at 128.2 which is the lowest I have been in a very long time! Being under 130 is tough for me but doable! Swimming and walking today emoticon
