I look at my profile in the mirror! If I am tempted by sweets, I eat a piece of fruit. If I am tempted by salt, I eat some greens. I keep food - REAL food on me in a soft-sided cooler all the time. It's almost attached to my hip, LOL. If it is a phakephood phantasy I have fun with it actually. Works all the time.

I reward myself at the end of the day with a banana split my way: I blend a banana with some cocoa powder and a bit of water. It's very satisfactory and much better, I believe, that pieces of chocolate. Isn't cocoa full of antioxydants? ;-) I do this in the evening because it's my 'weakest time' and Hubby used to have a lot of chocolate biscuits around. The banana split would distract me from unhealthy foods.

Use it or lose it.
Practice makes perfect.
Small things over time make a huge difference.

I only have one or two servings of chocolate in the house or I will eat it all.

The old have a piece of chocolate and eat one a day just doesn't work cause I will eat the whole bag.

Hereís something that has worked for me. Iíve walked into the grocery store and felt hungry with the deli tempting me and memories of different things I used to eat....or even when Iíve passed the new treats in the impulse aisle...I take myself directly to the fruit and veggies and picked out a nice tomato or today I found a ripe pear. I purchased it right then before I shopped for anything else and enjoyed eating it in the store as I walked around feeling good that my urge to have something was satisfied by something healthy
