Yay for no more coca cola! You're doing so good!
Good job on only eating half the pasta. Isn't it funny how with slip ups afterwards you just want fruit. The body knows! :)
My classes are going good. I'm teaching my 4th class this weekend. I have school tomorrow and part of it is a tour of Whole Foods. You mean to tell me there's more than a produce section in a grocery store! haha. It should be interesting. It's supposed to be part of our "yogic eating" class. I haven't found it to be anything but yogic. "If you have an ethical issue with honey you should just suck it up and eat it" um what? Rather eat fruit thanks.
So chant from your soul, sway from your roots and send out your light!
100 squats a day! You go girl! I've been doing S90 and just finished up Day 7 It was a legs workout and boy did I ever feel it the next day.
I'm still going raw but had a little hiccup yesterday. I ate some pasta at a luncheon that I was invited to 3 weeks ago. They specifically order a vegetarian meal for me so I felt obligated to eat it. I did only eat half and didn't touch the dessert. It was kind of neat 'cause while I was eating it I realized that it was lacking in high quality nutrition. I was wishing I had 4 or 5 oranges instead. I'm still coca~cola free, so that's a good thing. :)

Woot! I'm so happy for you, great job!
That coca cola can be pretty tough to kick. My mom used to drink tons of it and had withdrawals when she got off. She hasn't had one in a few years.
Have you ever made a vision board? I love those. You can fill it with photos of raw food and pictures to represent your goals. I like to also put a list of pros of eating this way and the cons of going back to my old lifestyle. Very helpful if you ever feel like falling off the wagon.
I just started the 100 squats a day challenge. I'm already sore :( I have a feeling going up and down stairs will be a challenge in itself. eek! but I'll have buns of steel hehe
So chant from your soul, sway from your roots and send out your light!
My coca~cola withdrawal headache is gone, so me! Now I need to promise myself never to touch the stuff again. Here's hoping that this is the year I break free from it.
Mainly ate a lot of fruits yesterday along with my green smoothie. I did have the pesto salad again for lunch and a couple of handfuls of walnuts and dates before a dinner of tangerines.
done and I'm feeling re-energized! The green smoothies are doing their trick and I ate an abundance of oranges and bananas yesterday. I also tried a cucumber, tomatoes, bell pepper, pesto salad with the pesto being made out of nuts, which of course was high fat. My main objective is to get back to raw so I'm not minding the nuts at this point.
Come on Rawers, come out and play with me. Pretty Please?
I just bought a grocery cart filled with fresh fruits and veggies and man did it ever feel good unloading that into the house. Started my day with a green smoothie and wondering why I stopped them. Oh yeah, they were making me too cold during December when I had them for breakfast. Maybe next year I'll switch them around and have them for dinner.
Loved your danikanoodles site and I think I'll try your Sun-Corn Salsa. I also loved the picture of you and bunny with all that goodness. Do you teach yoga full time? I need to get back into it. I feel like when I start something good for myself it snowballs into other areas.

Whatever you have to do to get you back on track. Glad you found something to motivate you to jump back on. That's what's important. I'll have to check it out.
My website is for my health coaching and upcoming yoga classes. It's still in the works since I have terrible site making skills hehe. It's all for the raw and vegan lifestyle.
So chant from your soul, sway from your roots and send out your light!
I've been floundering with eating too much processed foods again. I found the rawbudget coaching and figured I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I whole heartily agree with 811 but I need help so decided to give this a go just to get me raw again. After the boot-camp ends I'll get back on 811.
I see from your blog that you have a website. Is it RAW related?

I'm still here! :) Well I jump in and out since I've been so busy with other projects.
So glad your recommitting to raw! I haven't heard of that challenge before. Maybe you can just go light on the fats during the challenge.
I started today going overt-fat free for a little while. I'm been going over board on the fat recently which have caused a lot of problems. Yay for day #1!
So chant from your soul, sway from your roots and send out your light!
I'm recommitting to raw and certainly would love to be on an active team. I just signed up for a 28 day raw challenge Rawfoodsonabudget, it uses quite a bit of nuts/oils but I'm hoping to cut down on them and then afterwards go back to 811.
Would love to find out who is still actively doing raw. Blessings!

Hello Everyone!
How did your holidays/new years go? I spent new years laying in bed with a smoothie watching movies. I've been so busy with work and working on my website it's been crazy! I have a paid vacation coming up so I'm going to use it wisely.
XANTHERAVEN, cooked foods are very addicting and 811 is a great way to break the cycle. One of the keys of succeeding on this lifestyle is to eat enough calories so you don't binge on cooked and fall of the wagon. What were the veggies you had for dinner? There are some veggies that are very hard to digest so I avoid them. Get a free account on Cron-o-meter.com and track your food intake. You can also post it on here under " What did you eat today?" It will give us a better understanding so we can help each other when something doesn't seem right.
Have you read Dr. Doug Grahams book "Grain Damage" ? It will answer your questions about rice and other grains and why we shouldn't eat them.
Grains contain insoluble fibers which we cannot digest. It acts like razor blades to our intestines. The intestines then create a sort of mucus lining to protect itself. Unfortunately the lining prevents us from absorbing important nutrients. Eliminate the grains and the lining eventually goes away making absorption much better. People have found when they add grains back to there diet after not consuming them for a long time they have blood in there stool and severe stomach pains. Best to leave the grains to the birds.
The book will give you the details and loads of information.
:)
So chant from your soul, sway from your roots and send out your light!
Hiii, I've been vegan for 2.5 years, and am wanting to give this 80/10/10 thing a go. Am reading the book. I am so addicted to cooked and naughty foods, but I did manage to do 80/10/10 for 2.5 days a week or 2 ago. I did feel good, and I wasn't always hungry- I'm often hungry on my usual diet of cooked food, gluten free toast and fruit and vege). I did find the big servings of vege I had at dinner time a bit hard to digest, and couldn't help thinking that they would be easier to digest if cooked.. and I do wonder what is wrong with cooked rice.. but I know a few people on face book who do 80/10/10, and they all look so happy and healthy and vibrant..!

Welcome Nerayana!
So glad you are enjoyed such an abundant lifestyle. I tend to be around 9/5/5 as well. It feels much better that way.
Glad to meet another veggie friend! Good clean food makes good clean friendly people.

Hey everyone! I just joined this group. I have been a raw low fat vegan (90/5/5) since April. I am LOVING this lifestyle and just know that I will never go back to cooked food, and especially not animal foods. It just feels wrong now, to see other people eat animals. It's just so... unnatural.
Fruits and veggies for life
Anyway, I hope to chat with some of you, I always love meeting new people, especially vegans! They are the kindest and warmest people out there :)
Thanks for reading this and have a great day! :)

No problem :)
I hope that video helps. I should probably try one out. I hear a lot of great things about them.
I got a lot of fruity highs today while at work. I was bouncing around all excited eating oranges. I wish people around me had bouncy raw energy. They are all sick, boring and angry. It's quite sad actually.
So chant from your soul, sway from your roots and send out your light!
Thank you for taking the time to help me, it is really appreciated :o)
I could use a lot of energy that I don’t know what to do with…hehehe
I went to Amazon, bought the vini yoga for the upper back..It seriously looks like what I need..I put one of the zone dvds for beginners on my wish list..
It is good to get lost in your work!! Have a wonderful Sunday..

Cronometer is a great way to make sure your eating enough and within the 811 guidelines. It's been a life saver. Making sure your getting enough fruity carbs will combat those cravings.
Kundalini yoga is wonderful but I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. It creates a lot of energy that we don't know what to do with. Personally I experienced anxiety and panic attacks in the evening each time I practiced. Not saying it's bad but it creates a lot of things people aren't ready for on a spiritual level.
I have heard a lot of great things about the Viniyoga therapy series DVD's they have ones directed towards the back. I have yet to try one out. They sell them on amazon. My first experience with yoga was with the Yoga Zone DVD's I highly recommend them. If there is a pose your struggling with don't compromise your back to look like the folks on the television. Do what feels best for your body and start slow.
I'm glad your still on here! I've been so lost in my work I haven't had the time to come on here.
So chant from your soul, sway from your roots and send out your light!
Danikayoga, Oh my goodness, don't be sorry for not being here..I haven't been here either..
No I do not keep track of what I eat..I just normally keep only what is allowed on 811 in my house. I know that it would help to keep track. With the weather getting colder I have been craving more cooked. I will check out cronometer. I was using FitDay when I was more motivated.
So nice to see you..I am assuming the Yoga in your name means that you are a serious yoga fan..I would really love to get into yoga. I am OLD and stiff. I ordered Kundalini Yoga for beginners. I can not even hold the sitting poses correct because my back has taken on a curve..Do you have any suggestions on what would be good for an old gal to start with.
You have a beautiful night. Thanks Kimmy

How's everyone doing? I've been thinking of a team goal/challenge for the month of September. I will post it in details later on. I've finally had some fresh figs from my fig tree! I love dried figs but it's very important to eat fresh fruits and veggies with all the water content they have.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. I finally have a day off tomorrow! Life has been way to busy!

Lelers, that's a great idea to do some food preparing ahead of time. Do you plan your meals? I like to use cronometer to plan what I'm gonna eat the next day so I can make sure I'm getting enough calories. I will link it below if you don't already have an account on there. It's free and there is also a phone app.
DS, glad it cooled down for you. I can't wait for fall but I don't really want a winter. Watermelon sounds great right now.
I'm thinking of banana pineapple smoothie. I've been having to buy frozen pineapple chunks since no stores are selling ripe pineapples. cronometer.com/

mmm wahhtahhmelonn! My favorite. I love bringing a whole watermelon to work and just sitting there eating it.
I thought I would get crazier reactions to how I'm eating at work but everyone thinks I'm weird so doing that looks normal for me I guess.
What reactions do you guys get at work?

Saying hey. Wish I were doing better with 811. Listened to the audio conferences this week. I guess I'm still struggling with being able to keep enough food in the house and carrying enough with me to work. I ride the bus and my shoulder is achey from schlepping all the food I need.
Poor me...lol. I need to buy more

I actually did few days on orange juice while on Freelee's challenge and just got 1 box of oranges today again.. I love juice feasting, although 811ers don''t support it I personally had some amazing healing benefits and was thinking about doing another long term juice feast in august-fall while lots of greens and fruits still in season ..

Sorry everyone, I've also been busy with Freelee's challenge. I'm house sitting so right now I have a laptop at my disposal.
KimP great job with the juice feast! A few months back I had gotten really sick and was fed up so I bought a juicer and did about 2.5 days on a juice feast. I didn't know enough about them to succeed but I've heard great success stories. How long are you doing it for?
