The younger you are the greater your chance of your skin snapping back into shape. However, old age has it's way of halting many things. Sagging skin is part of life if you live long enough no matter if muscle is beneath. Just my opine as an elder that continues to work out.

Hi and welcome. With weight loss there will be some excess skin (depending on how much weight is lost and how quickly among other factors like age etc) I have found that a gradual weight loss and STRENGTH TRAINING combination really work well for allowing the skin to shrink back. It can take up to a couple of years for the skin to adapt. There are some great articles on this site that address that issue too.

Smile .... it makes people wonder what you're up to ;-)

The fourth glass of wine is always a good idea before you do it and a really bad idea afterward! ;-)

It is far easier to MAKE time to exercise than it is to FIND time to exercise. You want results???? MAKE it happen.

I'm starting to lose weight now with spark and it's great but I'm worried that my skin isn't going to keep shrinking with my waist. Has anyone found anything (a lotion, vitamins..etc) that works to help skin regain and keep its elasticity? I'm relatively young and I really don't want to end up needing a bunch of plastic surgery that I can't afford. I appreciate any help with this. Thanks!
