Had spiced rum mushrooms and elk last night and again this morning for breakfast. Recipe from the Bugle called for Brandy but I only had Spiced Rum. I had gone to the only place that has hard liquor for Brandy but arrived at 3:15 pm. They close at 3:00 PM. Fifty mile to next saloon so I settled for Spiced Rum which I had on hand. It was great. Less than 30 minutes preparation and cooking time. Bugle is the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation monthly magazine.
