You might want to consider one of the zero-nicotine e-cigs (or a low nicotine one if you're still having cravings for a regular cigarette). You can get those in flavors that I've found REALLY helped me earlier this year to not eat everything in sight. I had one flavor which tasted like strawberry shortcake, another one that was caramel apple, and so on... and so I'd use that when I had the snacking urge or the smoking urge, and it helped me get past both without too much weight gain. :)
My quit date was May 1st and I had the same problem. Still do, not everyday but maybe 2 times a week. I think it is closure to my meal I am missing. A cig represented "stop eating", so without that closure I never stopped eating. So I tried to come up with something else that is closure to my meal...sometimes still trying! I have been doing a little bit of ice cream or skinny cow dessert of somekind and I just work it into my points everyday. Itt is better to be heavier and not smoke than skinny and puffing away. Just try to find something else to represent closure to your meal.
I am on day 16 of not smoking and I am totally in the same position. I can't stop eating at all. I'm constantly hungry, but I seem able to manage it better during the day. I can't stop eating in the evening though. I tend to be able to stay within my calories *most* of the time, but I am always at the top of my range and I generally don't lose when I eat so close to the top of my range. I know the benefits of not smoking far outweigh a little weight gain but I have worked hard and taken an entire year to lose this 15lbs, I could do without more setbacks.

I know im being way to hard on myself and its ok to gain some weight to get this demon of smoking off my back...its better to be overweight for awhile and be a non smoker when i go to lose weight again and have the ability to focus on it...just gotta keep up the fight and try not to gain more than 15lbs

I have been smoke free for 12 weeks March 2nd, and I had the same problem but it will taper off, but not much, I have been trying to eat healther food like vegis, multi grain, I had been gaining waight, but have stabalized, also lay off the fried food, snack on sugar free foods. just hope I can keep it up and actually lose some waight.
so i havent smoked for five days and i am so proud i honestly feel i will never have another cig becuase i never want to go thru what i went thru day 2,3 and 4 today is the best i have felt so far...but im eatting everything in sight....iv had 2200 cals and iv been awake for 6hrs all i wanna do is munch all the time
