Last week I decided to get serious and have been tracking food and fitness. I am down to 183 from 185. It feels good even through some is probably water retention. If I can continue at 1 pound per week, I could get down to 175... I might be able to even get out of 180-ville by the end of November!

Yay! Just got here from 180-ville! I had lost weight earlier this year and gained more than half of it back :( but I am more determined than ever to lose it, the right way, and keep it off this time! I am on the 8th floor this morning. Hoping it's just a short stay this time and my last time here :)

just say "3 little pounds" if you are tempted to eat something that isn't on your plan. it worked for me. I did NOT eat ice cream with my hubby the last couple of nights :-) Go Girl!

Hi I am new to the team and thought I would start out by saying Hello. I weigh 171.4 today and would really like to get out of these 170's. A month or so ago I got down to 169, but then binged and got up to 173. Last week I weighed 170 but then ate two boxes of cookies in two days. I also ate 1/2 a pound of almonds the last two days. I want to lose weight but keep tempting myself with high calorie foods.

I am reading Geneen Roth's book about emotional eating and am learning to eat only when I am hungry. Maybe that will help me get out of the 170's.

I need all the support I can get.

Did anyone catch yesterday's featured blog post? It was by my friend MOSTMOM who was a tester for the new SparkSolutions book. She tried the recipes for 2 weeks and liked so much she's kept on for 6 weeks and has lost 11+ more lbs. I'm getting the book and my DD has agreed to let me hire her as our personal chef for 2 weeks starting the day after she graduates. I know many of you cook for your families & enjoy cooking so I can let you know how we like these meals. It was neat meeting dietician Becky Hand and talking to her about how these recipes were created. And we got to taste some of the appetizers - which were delicious. emoticon emoticon emoticon

MOONSTREAM, Thanks for the welcome! I cannot WAIT until my weight loss ticker looks like yours~you are doing great! Those bumps in the road can seem stubborn, but they do smooth out. I have been "stuck" at bouncing back up to my all-time-high over and over again for almost three years......like a stuck needle on a record. (if anyone remembers a record player LOL) I'm determined to break out of my rut with positive changes, excercise, consistency, and not giving up. Eventually things will have to bust loose for me!

Hi, Hope you don't mind I joined this team while still in my 180's. but I plan on going down ASAP! The 180's ville team was pretty quiet, so I left early. I was on the 'ville teams a few years ago, but left SP before reaching my goals. Re-joined SP about a month ago, and WILL fully reach my goals this time. I am determined to get to that Healthy BMI and stay below it! My weigh-in is on Wed. so should be a little closer to the '70's in a few days. Take care!

Hi ladies kinda new I started SP last week at 175.. Now Im 172. so yay!!
My goals are to do some cardio 5x week for 45mins. And do some strength training at home mostly pushups, squats, stuff like that!!

gosh this 10 lbs is STUBBORN. I hope to do a 2nd workout today. Went to a strength class at Y but it was more of an interval class. Only at 4000 steps so far today. Gotta pick up the pace. I'm only at the opposite end of this town but will try to catch up. emoticon
