I don't think there is a way to put a picture on here, but on my latest blog there is a picture of the dog in his new shoes. He did really well with them. Basically my brother-in-law wanted to do this hike in Sedona that turned out to be largely a slog through hot sand. I was getting Bodie to stay in the shade and then run through the sand to the next shady spot.
The next day we went to a sporting goods store in Flagstaff and got him some little boots. At first he walked around sort of high stepping. Then he got distracted by the basket of try on socks. He loves running through the house with socks so that was fun there in the store. People were amazed that he let me put them on him, but he didn't seem to mind.
We walked around town and went to this little farmer's market where everyone who saw the shoes thought we were from Phoenix. The next day we went hiking and he wore his shoes. He rather quickly figured out that he had amazing traction and could essentially walk up walls so that's both good and bad.
I don't think he'll need them a whole lot around here because most of the hiking we do is in the woods, but I do walk him around town on sidewalks and I think I'll put them on him then if nothing else just to keep him used to them.
To be doubted that's the key. When I think I cant go anymore, I think about those who doubted me. Cam Newton
