Wow, JRSMITH775, the Colorado Trail sounds like quite a trip - hope it all works out for you and you have a great time! I still haven't been more than a week out backpacking -- maybe one of these days!
San Jacinto peak hike made me drool. I loved the pics and the site. Is that an ap that you're using? Would like to hear a little more about it. How was your breathing on that trek? I climbed Mt. Shasta which is 14,141 (or something like that; this was in my former life) and I thought I was going to die of altitude. When I climbed Mt. Whitney, I went over to Bishop and spent about 4 days working out and it made all the difference.
Thanks so much for sharing your trip. Looking forward to more!

Uh oh...have you heard the news about Cinque Terre? They had major flooding there and the hiking trails sustained major damage... They are having to cancel tours there that were scheduled for this fall.
Better check before planning a hiking trip there. I'm sure they'll repair them ASAP but not sure when that will be....
I will have to check that hike out, as it is not too far from me. The hardest hiking expedition I have engaged in involved the Weminuche Wilderness Area. The hike was 10 days in duration, and I believe it took me about three days to recover - lol :)
Location: Malibu, California
But those who hope in the Lord Will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; They will run and not grow weary, They will walk and not be faint.
We just got back from Italy and hiked from Monterosso to Vernazza in the Cinque Terre. This was my most challenging hike so far but well worth the effort. Wish we lived somewhere closer to somewhere like this!!!

We went completely overboard this time. But the views are absolutely indescribable. A group of us hiked to the summit of Mount San Jacinto. It was my first time in this wilderness. It was truly amazing. One of the greatest days of my life. Check out the trip report. http://bp2.trimbleoutdoors.com/ViewTrip/ 1333815
