I just asked my best friend what the name of the trail was we did last time in Saguaro and it's Douglas Springs. Great trail, water even. I think we did about 15 miles...but there were shorter places to go, like a waterfall that was nice.

If 48th and Guadalupe are anywhere near you, there are some nice long trails that come to mind, let me find a link. http://phoenix.gov/parks/hiksogud.html
The Buena Vista lookout is nice.

If you don't mind a little bit of a drive, there's Karchner Caverns: http://www.pr.state.az.us/Parks/parkhtml/k
artchner.html south of you. You can go do the tour of the caverns and then there's a hike outside that you can go long or short...though it's not very difficult.

There are also some long, difficult and beautiful trails in Saguaro National Forest, also in Tucson. This is an outstanding hike http://www.americansouthwest.net/arizona/s
aguaro/hugh-norris-trail.html and any of these trails http://www.americansouthwest.net/arizona/s
aguaro/east.html Great, great hiking here. We do first light kind of stuff. Go fast and hard as it's just getting light.

Have fun and let us know where you go!

You should head out to South Mountain. I just spent almost 2.5 hrs out there yesterday morning. The trails are as long as you want them to be because they all seem to cross each other. You could wander around out there for a very long time.

Also go to Superstition Mountain/Four Peaks. There are some nice trails out there.

Hi-
I just moved from Florida to Phoenix, Arizon and I'm looking for good places to hike. I've done Camelback before and been out to Usery Park and done the Wind Cave trail but that's about all I know. Any suggestions? I'm looking for scenic trails that are at a minimum 3-4 miles long and work you pretty hard.
