I hate hearing about the attacks. My son was at Bagrahm AFB a few days before it was attacked on his last deployment there. Since he is an Airman and works on electrical systems, he does not fight. They required them to carry guns then also. But his comment about it was "The Marines and Army did a wonderful job defending the base."

Have to work the closing shift today. Everyone have a great Monday!

Lighting my candle and saying my prayers for our soldiers today and everyday. I just know that little "on line" indicator provides some relief, Barb. It is good that he is OK also.

Have a good day at work, Barb. You too, Connie. How is your Dad doing? Hope he can soon move closer.

Off to the sun room and to some exercise before I start my day.

Thank goodness, DH is going to go to the post office and mail the packages this morning.

Have a Marvie Monday, Team.

My gut wrenches and I calm myself and say a prayer with every headline. Since I don't really know exactly where my son *is* over there, I seek for his little "on line" indicator as my assurance that he's still OK.

Anyway, gotta scoot, it's a work day! But wanted to do a drive-by "Hi!" and wish you all a good Spark-Monday!

I did see that on the news about our troops, bombings, etc. over there. God Bless them all as it's hell over there --even without the bombings. Lighting a candle this morning and praying for all fighting for us.
Although it's sort of gloomy outdoors, it's going to be in he 60s today. Once more week of working and then a break. Going to visit dad on the way to work, it's going to be a long day.
Love you all.

So sad, and the Troops definitely do need all the prayers they can get as they serve our great country.

So happy for you that your cousin is safe though, Sunny. PTL indeed!

You must be doing something right, Michele. Congrats. I didn't loose over Thanksgiving but didn't gain either so I was happy.

This is the last week of the BLC20 and I am ready for the break although will continue to do some cardio every day, strength training on odd # days of the month, and continue tracking.

I posted this note on the Prayer Thread but wanted to let you all know our soldiers in Afganistan need our continued prayers. My Cousin's base was hit by suicide bombers today.
My cousin did post on FB that he is OK. PTL for this.

emoticon for Michelle! It's tough to lose weight over the holidays, but you've just proven it can be done.

Good luck all with your personal lines in the sand.

It's warm here, too. I can't believe it, but I'm thinking bike ride. On December 2nd. For the cross-country "Holiday Run" out in Pioneers Park it has been perfect. I didn't go enter it, my 2012 season is done... and I'm looking forward to 2013.

Mainly, I'm looking forward to the end of February, 2013, when I should get my next fix of mom-hugs, which I have sorely missed since about St. Patrick's day 2012!

Michele, it is warm out! I did wake up to the sound of rain outdoors, so relaxing.
Will get back to posting my foods again, that will be my challenge as it has been a while since I have done that. I would love to lose 5 lbs this month. Wish me luck.
Have a great Sunday, everyone. I have to work all next week and then hoping to have some time off for a while.
Off to get some laundry done and some cleaning today.

Good morning everyone! That is an interesting challenge. I must be doing something right. Today is weigh in day and even with higher calorie counts all week, I managed to loose.

With the rain, I think today is going to be a lazy day. Little bit of cleaning, little bit of laundry, and just chilling. Did surprise me how warm it was out.

Have a great Sunday!

Sorry to hear that Nellie. My son spent a year in Korea. Hopefully it is a rumor the he is "eager for attacks"

Is cloudy here and there are snow flakes in the air. So not ready for this. Maybe this weekend I will have to get the snowblower running. This weekend is also Shipshawana on the Road at the Summet. I try to make it every year and I have the whole weekend off!

Everyone have a great weekend!

I was not very happy to read this morning of the new military leader being appointed in N.Korea. I am hoping his aspirations do not include an attack on S. Korea where my son Richard is stationed! Supposedly he is very eager for attacks.

Hi Michele and thank you!

It's been nice ans Sunny here too. Christmas is in the air. It gets cooler around here at this time of the year and there is a nice breeze! I just love it!

No word on my sons results yet. I did hear from him though. He hurt his foot and had to have some stitches taken and a shoot. No exercise for a week and he has to take it easy. Thank God classes are almost over and he doesn't have to do so much walking. Wish I was closer to take care of him.

Hope everyone is doing well!!

Connie I love your idea for the gifts this year!! I am sure they will cherish it. Things here have been kind of tough lately. The economy has affected everyone. I'll be baking some goodies to give away this year! Not in the mood for much shopping this year. Hope your dad is doing better.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi everyone! Seems I have less and less time for the computer these days! We had a death in the family (an uncle) and full house with family, then Thanksgiving and a full house with family, last week traveling to moms to work again and finally this week I am trying to get back on track and get the house back in order Still plenty of laundry to do. I did get all the decorations finished today and everything looks nice. It's just been a few busy and emotional weeks. Haven't had time to read all the post so please forgive me if I don't answer but I do hope all is well.

Also I have been so anxious to hear form my youngest son! He took his AFOQT again and we are waiting for the results and it's just kills me the not knowing. Can't imagine how he feels.

Hoping I get to check in more often but if I don't please know how special you all are to me!! Hugs my Sparkfriends and thank you for always having my back!

Good Morning, All. Just a quick hello this morning. Have to work 12-8 today and then off tomorrow, YEAH. Maybe I can jump in on a challenge Thurs.
We are still waiting on a new room for dad. I did get to spend some time with him last night. It was a nice visit as it was just the two of us. I am not even sure he knew it was me (very confused) I just sort of go with the flow with him.....
Hugs to all.

A quick drive-by "Hi" to all! Wednesday is a challenge for me, mid-way through the work week! This week is packed with meetings, as there was a lot of pent-up demand for my attention due to being gone for those couple of weeks.

Trying to make all the pieces fit around the holidays isn't ALL about home, some of it is about work, too.

Hope you all have a great Spark Day!

It is always good to have an edge. They are not in any hurry to wrap this up which I think is a very good thing. They want the person to be the "right fit". Do keep us posted.

Went to Hannibal today and worked on the box I am getting ready to send my Cousin in Afganistan. That was fun. I will finish it up on Friday after I bake the cookies on Thursday.
Thanks Barb for a great suggestion about the Oatmeal Scotchies.

Take care and have a Wonderful Wednesday. I have my volunteer job and then Bible Study tomorrow evening.

Connie - hope you got your Dad on the waiting list at the care center closer to home.

Thanks guys, on the interview good wishes. I think I have a pretty good shot at this one. Turns out that the interviewr (who would be my manager if all worked out) and I have a good friend in common, so that might give me a little edge. Either way, I don't expect to hear for awhile....I first applied to this job almost two months ago, and this is all the further they've gotten in all this time!

Anyway, it's going to be a busy day, so thought I'd check in before I get out and about....I may not make it back on the computer tonight! Have a wonderful day everybody!

Looks like everybody likes Oatmeal Scotchies! It started out as my brother's fave, that's where tradition began in our family, anyway.

I love online shopping, too, but know what you mean about wanting to feel towels yourself.

Good luck with that interview, Sharon. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

We are going to Kansas City for a long weekend in February. We will go to our Son and DIL and watch the grands while they jet off to LA for the Dr. Who Convention then on the way home, we will stop for a long weekend on the Plaza complete with going to church where we were married.

I have thought of joining Amazon Prime. I do most of my shopping there. Actually got a package from them today - a individual smoothie maker for my DIL. She will love it! I did almost all of my shopping on Amazon last year.

Awesome news about the interview. Do keep us posted. BTW - thanks for the kind comments about my "mug" shots. DH took them on our way out of the house on Thanksgiving.

I have Joshua's box almost ready to go but if I am going to make the Oatmeal Scotchies, Joshua would love some in his box too. I will put that on my "to do list" for Thursday.

Take care and have a good evening. The DWTS Finale is tonight. Time to lace up my dancing shoes.... emoticon

Happy Anniversary Sunny & Rich! Sounds like you took care of his anniversary wishes...now, what will he do for you?

Connie, that's a great idea about making memories with the kids instead of more presents they don't need. I hope someday I remember that when I'm a grandma too!

Jeff gave me a membership to Amazon Prime, and it's just a Godsend for gift-giving! I can order anything and they will ship it in two days to Hawaii for free! Doesn't matter how big or heavy. I've taken advantage of it to buy things for ourselves and gifts for others too, especially for hard-to-find items, and in many cases the prices just can't be beat. But I will be sending a pretty big box too....one thing I wanted to give Jeff and Abbi was some new towels -- I discovered they are in desperate need last time I visited. But I wanted to see and feel them in person. Also, I've picked up a few other things for them, and I'll want to do some baking and send treats too. Barb is right....if the Oatmeal Scotchies get crushed, they would make great granola! I might have to add those to the list too, in addition to their favorites.

I had a second interview with a potential employer today, and feel pretty good about it. Of course, it's still a buyers market out there, and there is some competition, but I could be happy in this job, so crossing my fingers!

Anyway.....warmed up turkey and fixings one more time today....most will be gone, and the rest will have to go away. 4 days is my limit for things that haven't been frozen. Have a good evening! DWTS finals....Go Melissa and Tony!!

How far is it for you, Connie. Dad was about 30 miles from me but it was a good place and they took excellent care of him. That is all that matters. I do know how you feel as there were many times I wished he was closer.

Baked oatmeal scotchies sound so good. I will have to look up my recipe as we are putting together a Holiday box for my Cousin who is now in Afganistan. DH is going to help me with the box but cookies is one thing I really wanted to send.

Today is our 46th Anniversary but no eating out today. DH wanted Chicken Fried Steak, Baked Kale & mashed potatoes. It turned out good and DH was happy.

Take care. I will post a fitness video for tomorrow. If you can, please join in.

Have a good week.

Thanks for the reminder, Barb. I do have most of the gifts we are shipping to Joel and family and hope to get it all shipped by the first of Dec. For all the other kids and grandkids who live somewhat closer, we are taking them all to a waterpark/hotel for a night for their Christmas gift and there is a wonderful place to eat right across the road from there for our Christmas dinner. Hoping to make some great memories instead of buying stuff they don't really need or want. Hope this works out.
Happy Monday, everyone. I am off to work and then going to visit dad. It's sort of tough having him further away but we have to do what we have to do.
Praying for all our loved ones serving and will light a candle when I return. Hugs to all. .

Baked oatmeal scotchies (my soldier's favorite) and packed them in a box for Afghanistan... and only about 3 cookies worth worked its way past my lips. Had to at least make sure the cinnamon and orange flavor balance was "right", right?

A year ago, pre-deployment, my son stood in my dining room while I baked them, and we shared nibbles and coffee. Then I made his other favorite, the French Vanilla wafers, but I'm not going to try shipping those to AFG... too fragile a cookie. At least if the Oatmeal Scotchies disintegrate in shipping, he'll have granola. If the French Vanilla wafers came apart it would be powdered cookie dust!

Anyway, that's my holiday season... at least I got IM's from/to him through today. Since he changed APOs again, the internet connectivity is not as regular / reliable. So I'm feeling blessed to have that brief contact today.

Hope you all had a great Sunday... don't forget to mail early to your loved ones in far away places!

With all the hype about Black Friday sales, I was glad to see a thing on FaceBook today reminding people of Red Friday -- to wear red on Fridays in honor of our troops. This is something I have been doing for several years now.

Thanks for all the great b-day wishes, fellow MM&P's! I got home from my huge road trip yesterday afternoon late and am trying to get back to "normal" while having missed the "normal" Thanksgiving festivities. In some ways that makes it easier, in others harder... you lose track of the calendar when you skip a holiday, if you know what I mean.

With all that travel, I've fallen behind on posts... hope to catch up and get back in the swing... and then we have to start talking about what kind of challenge might get us through the Christmas/New Year's/Winter without losing all the progress we've made!

Here's to fit, healthy and safety for our loved ones near and far!

emoticon to Barb. A half marathon is a lovely way to meet the big 60 and look it square in the face. emoticon & emoticon . You are not getting older, you are getting better. Hehehe - of course you are!

Michele - enjoy the time at your cousin's house. Wish I lived close to my cousins. We enjoy the time we have with DH's cousins.

Oh my goodness, Connie, that is just not fair. Bless your heart, you just have way too much going on. I know you have a lot to be thankful for and having time to rewind with your DH tomorrow is a good thing. Hope you enjoy your time together.

Sharon - I do know you well. I would love to see photos of your Village when you get it up.
I am going to start a Village for Alex this year. I knew it was Ruby Tuesdays...hehe

The pies sound great, Katie. Do enjoy your day. Any news about your move? Do keep us posted.

We did not make the trip to Kansas. DH was not up to the drive. He is feeling better today and we will go to our Son, Brian's for dinner tomorrow. He is fixing Beer Can Chicken on the grill. I made the dressing today per our Son's request - my Grandmother's Corn Bread Dressing. I had bought some pies from our Ladies Auxillery at Church so will take one of them to our sons. All in all, we have the day covered!

One of the things I am very thankful for is this team. You all are such a blessing. Thank you for being just an "e-mail away". You are the best team on Spark People!

Wow Connie. I am so sorry to hear all the problems, especially at the holiday time. Hope you enjoy your nice quiet day. Happy Birthday Barb! Everyone have a nice Thanksgiving! As for me, I am going to my cousin's house (bout 2-2 1/2 hour drive) I get to make the dessert. Decided on cookies for the kids and my daughter and then going to try to make a cheese cake. Was there a couple of years ago and it was a mix of American and Filipino food. My cousin's wife is Filipino and kept telling me to try different dishes, after all that when I finally meet my daughter-in-law, this will be the type of food she will prepare.

Off to Kohl's to spend my Kohl's bucks on a rolling pin. Looks like something I will need to make the crust.

Everyone have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

Connie, when it rains, it really does pour! I hope you get some needed rest from all the worry you've had lately. I'm happy that your stepmom will have some relief now too. Caregiving is a tough job, and especially so at the age she must be. So sorry that your sister's family will be in upheaval due to her knee surgery on top of her husband's chemo. I hope they are able to get him back on schedule soon. And Tanner....how sad! How will Otis do without him?

Our Thanksgiving will be laid back as well. I will do the turkey and all the trimmings, but it will just be myself and John, and my mom and Lisa. We used to get together with my brother's family, but he has 5 adult children and their significant others, plus a total of 13 grandchildren, and it was just too hectic in their small house and we bowed out a few years ago to do our own thing. I also work on my decorating while the turkey is roasting, and we plot our Black Friday strategies. It's a restful, more gentle holiday for us nowadays.

Happy Belated Birthday to Barb!! Woot, woot....a new decade and a new race category!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BARB-60TH BIRTHDAY 11/20/12 . May this year be the best ever for you, Barb, and hope you know how inspiring you are to this team. God Bless You.

Busy, busy and more busy here with family, work, errands, etc. One more day of working then off til next week for the holidays. My DH and I are spending Thanksgiving alone at home. He's doing the cooking!!! I am craving a quiet day at home just to catch up on things here. My step mom is going to tour a facility today that has a room open for dad, unfortunately not in the same town as he lives, but he really needs medical attention and she is at her wits end caregiving 24/7. He should be admitted sometime this week. My sister's husband was refused his chemo yesterday (weekly infusion) because of his blood count not being right, and now my sister (his wife) is going in for knee surgery because she tore a ligament (meniscus) on her knee. On top of that I had to put my cat Tanner down on Sunday. :( He was having tons of intestinal issues and it was beginning to wear on him. He was only one and 1/2 years old. When it rains, it pours. Needless to say life has been pretty stressful. Hoping it calms down today.

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, If you are traveling, be safe. Love you all and like Sharon, I am so thankful to have you all here. I feel you are all like family to me. Love you all.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving at Mark's house, Katie! Sounds like you have dessert under control! And what is everybody else doing for Thanksgiving?

Sunny, to answer your question, I do mix and match with the village. I started out with a brand called "Christmas Village" (creative name, right?) because I was working retail and that's the brand my store sold. I have about 6 pieces like that. Then I stopped seeing those, so just picked up other pieces made by different companies whenever I saw something I liked. Some inconsistencies...some pieces are more victorian, but some things are more like from the 1940's. Somehow it all looks ok together though. I will try to post a few pics when it's all done. I have 16 pieces now, besides accessories.

(And yep, it was Ruby Tuesday. You know me well!)

Just wanted you all to know I count you among my blessings. Happy Thanksgiving!

What fun! We have been thinking of starting a Village for Alex. Do you buy all of the same pieces or mix and match? Cool that you got a "day care" and perfect for you. How many houses do you have. Take a photo of your village when you get it put up. K?

You went to Ruby Tusdays...right? Good for you.

I got a cute top for Alex and a top for our DIL so I did pretty good myself then we went to dollar general and got all the stuff we needed - toothpaste, paper towels, bath room paper, etc. The $5.00 savings is good especially since I can use it on things I needed.

Take care and have a good evening.

Sunny, I did exactly that! Got a stocking stuffer for Lisa, some towels for Jeff and a watch for Abbi...and a new village piece for my collection. It was a day care, and really, how could a former day care provider refuse that? I really saved a boatload of money....so we went out to lunch to celebrate. Would you care to guess where?

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend too. Happy shopping!

Sharon - spend some on both Christmas and yourself.

I have biked and now headed down to Palmyra to the drug store and then to Dollar General. I get a $5.00 coupon every week to be used on purchases up to $25.00 so I get my necessities and a few extras. Everything helps!

Enjoy the day.

I have the same kind of day planned, Connie! No obligations -- love it! We are going out errand-running in a minute here, oil change on the car, and some shopping. I have some store coupons about to expire and some Kohl's Cash to spend. The question.....on me, or on Christmas presents? Decisions, decisions.....

Have a wonderful day everybody!

Good Morning, Sunshines. I have the day to myself so heading to see my dad and maybe do a little shopping? who knows, just feels good to not have any obligations. And the sun is shining and it's not too cold outdoors.
Thinking of Barb today with her marathon. Go Barb! Next week is her 60th birthday I do believe!

Hi all! The week went really fast and it is time to get back on the wagon again. 4 lbs. gain but I think at least half is water. I bloat really bad with to much sodium and caffeine. Yesterday was back to water, no pop. Today am back to tracking calories. Work will be hard today since I am closing with a young lady that gives credit to the blonde jokes. LOL Yes she is really that bad, sweet kid though. She was in an accident because she didn't know how to turn off the cruise control. Was there at 6 this morning because of a fire alarm. Problem with the sprinkler system and the company is dragging their feet fixing it.

Everyone have a great weekend!

PS I have one of the extinct Oldsmobile Aleros that was built here in Lansing.

Kansas City is in Missouri but not in my "neck of the woods". It is a 3 1/2 hour drive for us - sometimes 4 depending on the traffic. Your friend probably moved there so he could continue to work for Ford. Our Escape was made in Kansas City.

Do have a good day. I am off to my "to do" list and an attempt to make it shorter.

Will do regarding Minicooper....

Jeff's Ranger was maroon. Cute little truck with a stick shift....loved riding in it.

The rangers were made here in Minnesota at the St. Paul Ford Plant. It was the only vehicle made there and the only place they were made. The plant is shut down now....so many people out of work! A good friend of ours had worked there for many years. When the plant closed, his family moved to Kansas City MO....down in your neck of the woods, Sunny!

Popular truck....Jeff also had a Ford Ranger before he joined the Marines. Unfortunately the truck was totaled when a woman ran a red light and T-boned him in the intersection. Thankfully he was not hurt, but we were all so sad to see that little truck go. It was used when he bought it, but a good looking, trusty truck.

Our Soldier has a Ford Ranger - USA Blue!

I do hope the snow hold out for you.

I am off shortly to do a little Christmas Shopping.

I could not last 10 minutes when I first started biking so I have come a very long way in the past couple of years. I am so happy I stayed with it because I love it now.

Do have a GREAT day. I am off to the shower shortly.

Hey all, wanted to stop in to say hello, and I agree it has been a very quiet wk. Cold out now and just keep hoping the snow stays away until after my move. I dont have a car anymore just a ford ranger, too little of a truck and so light, it just does not do well on snowy roads. Sunny wow, congrats on marathon, that is a very long bike ride!! Don't think I would have lasted even half hour. LOL Hope this week stays peaceful for you all, Hugs

Michele - how wonderful that you had this time with your Mom and Brother. You will get rid of that 2 pounds before you know it. I did not know about your brother. Hope he is doing better. Liver transplants are tough.

I woke up this morning and the jelly was completely set up. Woohoo! I am going to open a jar and have some on my English Muffin in the morning. Jelly is one of my weaknesses. I have always loved jelly and love making it. Usually I don't have any problems with it setting up but now I know what to do when that happens again.

Tomorrow's Monday so be sure and light your candles.

Thanks to all of the Veterans for their service to our country. They are definitely True American Heros and Sheros.

Katie - I think you will only be about 5 hours from Linda. I hope when you get settled you can go see her. She would love it.

See you all tomorrow.

Hi all! 2 pounds heavier but had a wonderful visit with my mom and brother. It is good to see him able to travel and want to get out again. For those of you who don't know, he had a liver transplant 5 years ago and never has really bounced back. Hoping the weight is just water. Not going to worry about it cuz I am off to my daughter's tomorrow if not sooner. Pink eye is going around and her 5 year old has it. There has been 5 cases of it in his kindergarten class alone. Her hubby is out of town and worried she might have to take one of the other boys into urgent care. Will worry about the weight on Wednesday when I have to go back to work.

Connie so sorry to hear about your family members. It is hard. I have had a grandfather and a couple of Uncles with dementia but they were all older. The saddest was a 1st cousin who died with very advanced stages several years ago.

Katie, love you house in SC. My mom's favorite beach was Myrtle Beach. When I visited my son when he was stationed in NC, I often thought that would be a nice area to live in.

Sunny, hope your jelly turned out. I have never tried to do that.

Everyone have a great Sunday! Happy Veteran's Day!

Nellie, that is a sad but sweet story of you Grandmother. Makes me think of my family members whom joined our Lord. Connie and Sharon, God love ya, I know its hard for you right now, sending prayers for strength, to all of you actually! Oh and now you did get me excited, be nice if you all could come down, nice reunion for us girls! Connie, you got a great partner for the beach with me, I too can be down there all day, love it. Linda is one state over, hope she will too, boy sure miss her here. Sunny, closing is on Dec. 13th, so anytime after that, during our visit with boys over Thanksgiving, we will make plans as to how and when we will do this. X has been great help to me lately also, and said, he will drive my truck with my things. We get along better now than we ever had, guess because there is no reason to fight anymore. Life sure has a way to surprise us, doesn't it. Well all its late, hope you all have a peaceful sleep and good day tomar,

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Unfortunately dementia seems to strike even the people who are geniuses. When I was taking psychology courses and one was intelligence testing, I tested my grandmother who definitely scored in the genius range. Yet, just a few years later, she had developed dementia which was very sad, since she had hoped that would never happen to her.

At least she had planned ahead and had entered a retirement place which also had nursing home care for those that needed it. Her thought was in case of illness, but it was handy because of her dementia. I remember my last visit to her (we lived about 2000 miles apart, so it wasn't very often I got to see her). She was saying to me, "how come my brother Oscar doesn't come to take me home?" I didn't have the heart to tell her that she was there because she had decided to move there when he died.

The jelly appears to be setting up. It will be 24 to 48 hrs. before I will know for sure. I put some that was left over into the fridge and it set up quickly so just feel like it's going to be OK.

OK, we will count you in on the trip to SC. emoticon

I do not do the Black Friday thing. It would throw me into a huge panic. When I was in KC, I took an exit I saw to get away from the crowds and ended up on the back side of the Spring Center. I just wanted out and away from the crowd. My DIL & DGD love it and can't wait but I will stay home and get some emoticon & then do some things around the house the next day while they are sleeping.

Hope you get some shopping done today.

Hey, count me in on the trip to Katie's! I want to go too!

Connie, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. It's pretty common at his age though. My mom suffers from dementia too, I'm sure, although she hasn't been clinically diagnosed. We just feel it would be too stressful for her, as she rarely leaves her comfort zone these days. She would be confused, and at this stage in her life they wouldn't be able to do anything for her anyway. We are just letting it be. So sorry also for your BIL. I hope they are finding ways to keep him comfortable.

Sunny, good luck with your jelly today! I'm off to do a little Christmas shopping. There are some good early deals out there this year, no need to wait for Black Friday! (I kind of hate that, because I am a diehard Black Friday shopper and this early stuff takes away the fun.) Anyway, have a wonderful Saturday!

I did not rework the jelly yesterday as I got home late and didn't want to start it and dinner at the same time. This afternoon, I will work it up and hopefully will have jelly not syrup this time.

Hey Connie, I have an idea - we can meet at Katies! Yea, road trip. Hehehe

So sorry to hear about your BIL and as far as the dementia is concerned, if we all live long enough, we will probably have some dementia also. It is more common than rare. Are you going with your Dad on Monday? Do keep us posted. Praying for your Dad and your BIL and for everyone in yoru family - you all have a lot going on right now.

I am off to the bike and treadmill.

Love you all, Sunny

Katie, Never know? I might just take you up on your offer. emoticon I also am a "beach nut" and can sit on a shore all day long and not get bored. Never have been to NC but I do have cousins that live around there somewhere. Not sure which town.
Well, worked today and also had dad in the ER (during work). He is getting worse. He also was diagnosed with dementia. Never in a million years would I have thought that for my dad, he was always so sharp minded. He was discharged but has a Dr appt Monday to discuss his future....We just never know, do we? Sad situation. My BIL is also getting bad with his pancreatic cancer.
Sunny, how did you jelly turn out? Love you all.

Thank You All my friends!!! I am excited, and Sunny I do hope you and the rest of you Ladies get to see it! You know, if you girls and your families are ever heading to Myrtle Beach, you have a place to stay! I do hope you all take me up on that!!! I don't know a soul there, but hope to meet some nice friends. I chose Conway for location, near ocean but not on it, and climate. Conway is not city, just a big spread out town, very nice. New start for me, and boy do I challenge myself! hehehe Little hectic now, but once I am in, I'm sure I will settle down and be happy. Thank you all for being there for me so much, don't think I could have gotten threw the last 4 yrs without ya all. Love you girls!!!

What a lovely new home, Katie. I can just see you there walking along the beach. I am so jealous! When are you moving? Thanks for sharing. I know you are so excited and I wish you the best on this move. Do you have family in SC? I think I have ask before why SC? Don't know if I ever saw an answer. Let me know. Just curious why you picked SC?

I am off to Hannibal shortly. I am going to lunch with my sis and then do some Christmas shopping. We are really cutting back this year so am being very picky about what I spend my $$ on.

Take care and have a Fab Friday.

Hi all, made it back safe! Wow Nelly, glad your tumor is not growing fast, prayers for you. Sharon sorry to hear of your shoulder, hope the exercise works to lesson the pain. Well all, I found my house! Small but nice, only 3 yrs old. http://www.oceanfrontmyrtlebeach.info/list
ings/view/2417-westbrook-drive-conway-
sc-real-estate-1210431.html

dont know if that will work or not, might have to copy and paste. closing date is not until dec 13th, and I have been so busy, getting ins. for home, car, and inspection done, along with finance end. very overwhelmed right now, but soon I will be able to relax. It is only 20 min. drive from Myrtle beach, in a quiet subdivision. in Conway. Been home in Pa for few days, but so drained, and still working on things. sigh... Not sure when I will actually move, have to wait till my help can all get together too. So sad about Jersey, what fam. I have there, didnt get any damage. I didn't realize it was so bad until I got back to Pa, for in SC, it wasnt bad at all. I had a front row seat watching it go by, hotel was right on the beach, but it was far enough out that all I seen was outer bands. little higher water, but not bad at all. Well, late, and I am drained, I will get on tomar with ya all, hope to see ya then, good night all
