With all the exercise you are doing your body could be retaining fluid to try and "heal" the muscle you are gaining with the exercise.
And along with that, are you taking your body measurements as well? Sometimes the scale doesn't move or goes up but the tape measure goes down... hence your husbands comments, which could be true by the way!

courage does not always roar. sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "i will try again tomorrow." ~mary anne radmacher

hey Xanade!

I know that 2 pounds sounds like a lot, but seriously, it isn't much.
Just to put it in to perspective, its 4 glasses of water!
For example, my own wieght will swing over and under as much as 4 pounds over the course of the day... I use the scale simply as a ball park figure to see where I'm at.

If you're bloated, or your digestion isn't moving as fast as it usually does, this can be another cause of gain.

Not only does muscle weight more than fat, but while you're building it, or if you change up your routine, and start using new muscles, the inflammation process of building new muscle tissue will cause a slight gain, cause the body to hold onto water.

I went to your Sparkpage and noticed that you've stopped tracking both your foods and exercise. I suppose it may be because you're using a body bug now?

I would suggest adding a small amount of the crystaline vitamin C powder to the water that you swallow your thyroid meds with. I trust you are taking it with a FULL glass of water? Alternately, you could wash it down with distilled water to which a small amount of C has been added. The C helps the thyroid meds to absorb better, removes chlorine from your tap water... and you need the full glass of water to get your meddie to the intestines.

All just sugestions... sorry to hear you are stressed out about this.
Just remember slow and steady wins the race, be healthy and the rest will follow.

I've been steadily gaining weight over the last two weeks. I got down to 174.4 and then my stupid GP changed my meds. I was taking levo 75mcg and my tsh was at .1 so she has me switching it up from between 50mcg to 75 every other day. So since then my weights gone back up to 176.6. I'm so pissed off about this! I've been working my butt off! I've been doing about an hour of cardio a day about 4 days a week. I worked out the other day for over 3 hours (1 hour step areobics, 1 hour pilates, 1 hour yoga ad 20 minutes on ellipitical). Not to mention i'm seeing a personal trainer twice a week. I bought a bodybugg and I've been maintaining a calorie deficit of at least 900 a day. Some days it's upwards of 1500. Ok i will admit I've had several slices of cake and pie the last week. But i always split them with my husband and i still have a deficit even after eating them. I mean seriously what am i doing wrong??? I wanted so badly to get 170 this month and i thought i could do it with two weeks left but instead all i've done is gain two pounds. Yes i know muscle weighs more than fat but i should've at least lost some fat! My husband says he sees a difference but i think he just says these things to be nice to me cause he knows how much i've been working and how frustrated and discouraged i get. What else can i do? I drink lots of water, take a multivitamin, I drink maybe 1 cup of green tea a day - nothing added , the only thing i drink with calories in it is my almond milk, i don't drink any soda or nothing like that. Moslty just water and my almond milk with cereal. Yes i'm waiting 30 minutes after taking my med to eat. I'm just so frustrated.
