A suggestion should you have to travel there for an extended period of time, is to ask your doctor for a prescription and fill it for the entire year... take your pills with you.
I get my pills in jars of 100, and split the pills, taking half to get my dose which makes a bottle of 100 pills last for 200 days. The other advantage to buying in multiples of 100 is that those pills do not contain any dye.
I pay out of pocket as my insurance won't pay for lots of 100 pills.
Synthroid ran about $90 per hundred pills last time I bought it.
I know this doesn't answer your question, but it might serve as a workaround in case no one here can provide an answer. Another resource might be your pharmacy. Ask them... pharmacists are very knowledgeable.
