Thanks MZZZ, I am laser focused on getting fit, I am going to be 50 on July 11, that is my motivation.

OK the infared cellulite massager, there are many, but this one seemed the best. It is Nutra Luxe, , I got it on eBay (brand new) for $94.99, free shipping, and yes it definitely helps, I am also exercising like a demon, so who knows, the skin feels much smoother immediately after the massage. I also had been using Fat Girl Slim, by Bliss, got it at Ulta, that was $29.99, and is quite helpful as well. Big time mid-life crisis here..LOL

Spas do infared treatment for cellulite, for megabucks, so I thought this is a cheap alternative. If you get the item from Nutra Luxe website, they charge $199.

I also have a healthy alternative to my good old popsicle addiction, I have been getting navel oranges when they are on sale at Sprouts, peel and quarter them, pop on a ziplock sandwich bag and freeze them, yummy! I have been floating in the pool munching those after work and the gym. Bananas are great frozen too, without dunking in chocolate.

Hey Xana! The fivefinger shoes are intended for barefoot runners, but I wear them to workout, yes!! they are very comfy, super light, just like being barefoot (almost), but with protection. Yesh, I hear ya about being bored, I make myself do 30 minutes of cardio on the eliptical before my strength stuff, booooriiing!, I plug in to the TV and watch Dr Oz or General Hospital depending on what time I got outof work, Today I skipped the gym, tomorrow too, my mom will be here Sunday and I have a million things to do to get ready, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.

Tell me more about the infa red cellulite massager... does it work?
And if it does, who makes it, etc.

Good to hear you're doing well these days!

Gym membership.

I've thought about it and I think I am going to get one. I bought a bodybugg and I've been loving it. I love seeing that I plug it in to the computer, then put in my food for the day and i have 1500 calorie deficit. It wasn't until recently I learned that 3500 calories is 1 pound of fat. So I know that if i want to lose 2 pounds a week I need to burn approx. 24.5k calories more than I consume for the week. Did I mention I'm getting TIRED of the treadmill? And the gym offers classes like pilates and yoga! How exciting is that??? I always wanted to take yoga classes! I'm really shooting for 25k calories a week! This means I'll be right around 150 on the hubby's birthday! muahahahaha!!!!

I've seen those 5 finger toe shoes... what are they for?? Are they just comfy?
I did some damage at Kohls today myself.... :)

Gym membership....

Yes I have one, have had it for years, not super expensive, (24 Hour Fitness). Did not use it for a while, oh well, shame on me. I totally recommend getting a membership, and creating your own routine, so you are not tied to a certain time to exercise. I have been going four times a week, OMG, and killing it in there, lots of Nautilus, today 500 crunches. It works, I got into the haboit, and set a schedule that works for me, Tuesday -Friday after work (I get off work by 3:00 pm at the latest), I go home, change and let my dogs out, eat a small protien-carb snack, and hit that gym. I feel good, and I am really close to goal, this and seeing a dietician has been golden.

Whoops I forgot, I just gave all my size 6 clothes away!! Woo Hooo! Got myself some of those Vibram Fivefingers toe shoes for one reward, got an infared cellulite massager for another, never, ever a 'food' reward, no way. Hmmmmm, jewelry... my hubs already has to get me an anniversary ring, it is our tenth in September (and it is not $150..LOL), maybe I better cool it. I already do serious damage at Kohls on a regular basis.

hey Xanade!
Your necklace is very pretty... AND that body bugg sounds like a really great motivational device!

Regarding the gym... I love going to the gym when they offer classes, because I know I have to be there at a certain time, no excuses. What I also love about classes, is they think of stuff for you to do, they provide the equipment and the music, which takes a lot of the thinking (work) out of it... seriously all you've got to do is show up for the class. Plus you've got an entire class struggling along with you which is inspiring.

I've been a member of a gym (just different ones as I moved around) since I was 27. Just got done doing an hour of step aerobix and an hour of Zumba, heading out the door now to walk my pups in the park... think its cooled down enuf to take them.

Have a fun nite!

Yep that's the one! Isn't it pretty?? I'm still very very very excited lol... I went out and bought a bodybugg to insure that i get to goal quickly lol! I just got it on Sunday and have been OBSESSED with it. I found out that even if i eat a 1400 calorie diet that I'm not actually burning enough calories throughout the day to even lose 2 pounds a week. So my goal now is to consume 1400 calories and then burn 2400 per day so it lose 2 pounds a week! It also wants me to take 10k steps a day and i don't even get around 6k!! It's showing me how much of a lazy person i am! It's so amazing! I plug it in and it tells me how many calories I've burned and how many more a day i need to burn to reach my goal for the day. I've started tracking my calories on here and on the bodybugg page and it's surprising but everything is always off by a few calores.... Like egg whites are 15 calories on here and on bodybugg it's like 16, funny, huh? Anyway i'm also STRONGLY considering getting a gym membership, but at the same time i'm afraid! Gym memberships scare me in away... I don't want to feel like I am wasting my money if i dont' go, ya know? anyhows... gotta get ready to head to the inlaws... gotta try and walk 3 miles tonight to get my 10k steps for the day! lol... XD

I do have a size 4 wardrobe! It's a nice one too! I bought all my clothes at gap, american eagle, hollister, ect (this was several years ago). It was reward for losing 30 pounds. I quit eating grains and the weight just dropped off, but over the last few years (3) I gained 60 pounds, getting the hypo diagnosis has certainly helped me understand a little bit more about my weight issues as well. I plan on doing another wardrobe shopping trip once I get back down there just because when i first got into size 4 I lived in florida, now i'm in minnesota and lets face it, never been here as a size 4 so i get to buy all new cute winter clothes... omg i should buy myself some uggs for winter motivation! I'm having such a good day with idea's as far as rewards go! I've never had the body for in winter time to get away with wearing skinny jeans, ugg boots, and one of those cute little knit sweaters! I should plan to look that way this winter/fall with a cute new red do! And you are right, once i get back down, i'm getting rid of anything that has a 6 or higher number on the tag! (except for these one pair of jeans... I could wear a 4 at gap, but i got these in the junior section and they are a size 7 which i think is weird, but they're cute and my butt looked great in them) But then that's where i draw the line! XD

Personally, I think getting into size 4's especially if you already have a wardrobe in that size on hand would be reward enough for me! Enjoy your necklace and hairdo! Sounds like you are making great progress!

The thought of giving away all the clothes in my closet and planning to stay in one size forever is my motivation. I am tired of having clothes in several sizes. emoticon

Ok so, do you ever go to other people's spark page's and they have rewards set up for themselves of things they're going to reward themselves with at milestones in their weight loss journey? Well I see those and think "Well that's a nice idea, too bad I dont' really have anything I want to motivate myself like that". Don't get me wrong, there are things that I want, but nothing that I want to go out and get ya know. It's more like "well that'd be nice to have". So a lightbulb went off today in my head! I'm partially obsessed with Hannah Curlee from season 11 BL. Not in a bad way! It's more like i find her super motivating, and i love her personality, sense of humor and she was my favorite of the season. Well...I stumbled upon a question about her when i was trying to figure out how tall she is! (about 5'8'' for those interested) Someone asked where does her necklace come from and i was immediatly like "I want one of those too!!" Well, as it turns out it comes from Zoe Chicco (whom i've never heard of before until this afternoon). It's 154 dollars!!! I NEVER spend that kind of money on myself, let alone a single piece of jewelry! Let's face it, I'm a special needs program counselor for a non profit organization, it's not like i make that much! So I've decided that WHEN I get to 150 pounds (about my half way point) that I am going to buy myself this neclace! Still don't know what to get at goal... getting into my size 4's is always exciting but I dont' know what to reward myself with? I need something tangible/visible (specific), not just the idea of going shopping, ya know. I know that I can buy that necklace online and it will ship to my house and i can put it on, AND it's something i've always thought was nice and pretty, and that I wanted. emoticon I'm just so excited I wanted to share this lightbulb with everyone! (gonna copy paste this to my blog lol)

What motivates you guys? What are your personal rewards? I was planning that when i get to 170 (only 8 pounds to go) that I'm gonna get my hair done. But that's nothing too big ya know.
