I finished the Disney Marathon on Sunday. It took just over 7 hours, an hour of which was character stops and riding Expedition Everest. It was 85* and 80% humidity. Over 5400 people were swept, some people just quit at mile 5 or so, because of the heat (you still get your medal, you don't have to finish!) I powered through, and finished!

Yes, sorry, it is like the top of a pushup, and you hold it for as long as you can. I can hold one for 4 minutes on a great day, 2ish on a good day, and about 90 seconds on all the other ones.

My favorite excuse? I'm too sore to go to the gym tonight. emoticon

I almost used that one yesterday. I finally went back to my CKO Kickboxing class on Monday since Hurricane Sandy so needless to say my body was telling me on Tuesday and Wednesday "Seriously?!" But I had set a goal to get back to going 3 times a week because before I know it, it will be July and time to take my next Warrior Dash race and I want to improve my time.

you go girl! Tonight is abs and a plank, tomorrow is walking around Disney and a plank, Friday is the 5K and Sunday the Marathon. I will be doing abs and planking all over Disney as well, lol

Kicked off my exercising with a 9 mile bike ride......................... boy does that ever feel good. Im so proud of myself.


Now to repeat it tomorrow.............. or get some walking in.

Awesome!!!!
I will be in Disney from Thursday to Monday! I will be walking tons, eating as well as possible, and running a 5K and a Marathon. Hoping for some weight loss instead of weight gain!

Im house sitting for a friend for the nezt 8 days.................... the walk is 8 miles round trip. Im hoping to walk it at least 5 of those 8 mornings............................ going to do it. No excuses.

Excuse. its so easy to find them everywhere. I was going to start back at the gym this morning, but decided extra sleep was more important. Then I logged on and saw this thread, this was great encouragement for me. I will go to the gym, even if its just to walk on the treadmill right after work, Thanks for posting this.

I havent gotten back to Zumba or walking. Still fighting this dumb cold - but that should be almost done.


I think Im going to try to just give up excuses and talk myself into doing what Im supposed to instead of talking myself out of it. emoticon

My excuse is a SERIOUS deception.

I got to the point of such Super Cardio that I have forgotten that walking one mile is incredibly valuable. So if I didn't go to a class or jump on the Elliptical I was not doing anything - BAD ME!!

I must start new for the new year and begin like a normal person and see where it grows to. That is not to say that I am giving up ZUMBA - No Way!!!

Well I decided to zap excuses out of my new year......................... I have an entire library of them. Some used often - some only used for emergency situations and some old reliables.

Right now I have the end of a bad head cold. So my excuse for not walking is ---- no energy with the cold and dont want to get a relapse. I can only use this excuse for today ------------ and then Im retiring it - not to be used again for the 13 week challenge.

what excuse will you use once and them retire?
