Going into NYC today to see a play with the teenie. Hoping it isn't tooo cold, although it is 21* here, so I am not optimistic lol
Yesterday was P90X, chest and back plus abs. I was going to do P90X plyometrics today, but the bed was so warm and toasty, so I skipped it lol. My cold is still lingering and I woke with a headache, so it was an easy decision to make!

LOVE kettlebells, I have a 20#, 10#, 5#, and 4# love them all!

about an in ch of snow here, nothing too serious, although the roads are covered. Tomorrow will be P90X and then dread mill since it is too cold and slippery to run outside. Hoping the 50s I heard we would get next week really do come so I can run outside!

Gosh - its freexing out there. I probably should still walk in this weather but breathing in that cold air goes right through me....................... yea I know - its an excusre but I honestly dont want to get sick.

Swinging that kettlebell inside................. brought myself a heavier one. Hoping not to pull my back out so Im being careful about it.

Got some snow here in Central Jersey. Came down pretty good there for awhile, but has stopped now. I had about an inch or two on my car.

Weatherman said this week of the year, will be the coldest we've had in years. I guess we'll due then.

Ran today for the first time since the marathon. Exactly one week later and my legs were like lead! I knew it would be that way, it was not a panned run, but I *needed* it! Just under 3 miles, and it felt glorious lead legs and all!
Not looking forward to the cold week we are supposed to have~!

Good Saturday Morning team,

Just stopping in for my weekend check-in! Glad to see everyone is moving in the right direction.
I surprisingly lost 2 lbs. this week...it was a surprise since my eating wasn't too good. I am taking it as a gift and using it to motivate me forward. Today is my god-daughter's 9th birthday party so I have to make careful eating choices. Then I need to get some extra steps in so I'll be marching in place in front of the TV too cold out for me! Have a great day!

A quick note to let the Nj team know that I am planning on riding in the Tour Nj shore diabetes bike run again this year. Last year I named it the Spark NJ team hoping we would get some sparkers to join. There were 5 of us.

This year riding at the shore is all that much more special............. hopina many more of you decide to join. Its not a race.............. and you can choose a 5 mile ride - a 10 mile - a 35 mile or a 64 mile................... up to you and you ride at your own pace.

Will provide more details when registration opens up. yes its a diabetes fund raiser but you can contribute as little as $15 to register yourself. up to you


this is an early year alert........... the event is in Sept

its so funny for me that making a simple change like a smaller plate can make a difference. Ive heard that a zillion times.................... and just dont do it.

Its also funny that its the same things we hear over and over again and they work. Why I just do do them even though I know them - is amazing to me.

Did Zumba Core on the Wii yesterday, hot sweaty workout. LOVED it! Finished it off with a plank and called it a day! Yoga today I think, or maybe some weights. Haven't decided yet!

My 2 DS left, one for NC the other for the FL panhandle. It makes meal prep & logging easier but sure as heck miss them. Even w/ my heavy eaters home still managed to stay in control & lose over the 1st week of the challenge.
I've got jury duty starting 1/7. Duration is 1 week or 1 trial so am hoping for selection Mon or Tues so I can be done. Picked up supplies for lunch/snacks as I know the restaurants near the courthouse & they are not conducive to people who are controlling their food intake. The streets near the courthouse are flat so if the weather cooperates figure to get some walking in during the lunch break.

UGH something I ate last night did not sit well, and I had such an ache all night! Got maybe 5 hours of sleep!
Started off with some laundry and some lazy couch sitting, lol. Watching Storm of the Century for about the millionth time, which will take all day with all of the stops and starts.
When it warms up a it more (34* right now, but climbing, so I am hoping for 40!) I will run 6-7 miles depending on how my stomach feels! I also want to try out my new Zumba Core for the Wii. Looking forward to a semi lazy day, in an attempt to rid myself of this cold!

Happy New Year !! This is my year getting my injuries behind me and definitely going for it.
I've decide injury or not I'm going to lose my weight. I've packed on 60 lbs and I'm getting rid of it. No excuses !!

Well, this i s it - NYEve is over and NYDay almost - it really does all begin tomorrow, doesn't it? I'm trying to decide what junk food is going to be okay - when I'm totally on track - it is not a temptation at all. Not sure I'm there yet but DH will not like me trashing it. He'll just have to hide it if necessary.

THAT is my current challenge!! :)
