If anyone has the page where you have the list to check off food for the day would you be so kind to email it to me? It was the only thing that worked. I have gained about 12 pounds in the last few months and have to recheck my thyroid meds in a few weeks. With New Years coming I want to get off to a good start! Thanks!

I tried weight watchers three times they repackage their diet and charge more and they do not treat their leaders well. Now its so expensive .... but if anyone has the book and can pdf it please....desparate if valarie gained her weight back then Jenny Creig is just as lame as weight watchers it doesn't help people mantiain their weight loss. Sad ... I know she hurt her foot but there should be ways to adjust the program to meet a seditary issue as a hurt foot. I am in the same boat here. dirockson @aol.com

I liked that it wasn't expensive like weight watchers and I just feel like weight watchers is complicated I am going to get a scale from there and use it but I do recal that dinner was three oz of protien for red meat and fatty meats and four oz for chicken and turkey . I know vetables were free but you had to have three a day and two fruit and juice i think four oz would count as one furit. . I would use my bonus to add more protein as I never felt full because I was not a vegtable person but I would find stuff on their that i could eat . Ethic food list and a b bouns list .... I know I can loose the weight with this diet . when I was a kid it worked well . I think the most I weighed was 135 but I dropped to 120 N WII SAYS i SHOULD BE 119 FOR MY HIGHT. tHE BREAD WAS ONLY AN ONCE SO i WOULD USE PEPREGE FARMS THE THIN BREAD SO i COULD HAVE SANDWICHS. I never had any weight loss with weight watchers and I need this help . My son is graduating hs and I want to look good and use this as a motivator . This way I can overcome all the crap in my personal life . New me would be great ...I know that if I don't do this now after I turn fifty it will be hard I am giving myself till may when the graduation and the goal is very nesscary....this is for me no one else.

Hi my name is Diane I am from Staten Island , I too am a life time membe of lean liner I got to my goal and then about four months into my freshman year of college lean line on forest ave closed no reason . I think weight watchers didn't like the competition and made it disappear. I did ok in college but had to go on bc control to fix issues with my menstrual cycle . I gained weight so I took myself off those blasted pills demprova and almost had a heart attack at college. From there on it was a real struggle . When your on campus you don't eat well snack foods from the vending machines and free pizza , Three jobs to pay for it. I got married had two sons with each of the pregnancies I added weight loss some added more weight. Stress from raising two kids with autistic spectrum aspergers syndome made me a whale... at one point I weighed 258 I am down to 230 and am looking to loose 100 lbs more while the pre diabetes diet was working by cutting fat grams I still can not loose seven percent in each time I have done it but in two years I have stayed around the 230 point even with a slow thyroid a bad gallbladder . I just want to get that lean line book I think it is the only way. If anyone can help I would appreciate email me a copy of it at dirockson @ aol.com if you have a copy . list for proteins i recall I was 15 a day does anyone recall? or have a food traker thanks

I agree that Lean Line offered a simple diet plan. I lost weight in a healthy way and actually was an instructor for a short time. After Lean Line folded and many years later, emoticon I regained the weight due to my emotional eating pattern and lack of portion control. I attended Weight Watchers and did very well on losing the weight. As a life member, I continued to attend. But what happened was that WW made their program more time consuming year after year. It was much more complicated than necessary and not something I could follow in my busy life. I'm finding the Nutrition Tracker on Sparkpeople to be a simple yet very effective way to monitor and control my calories while eating in a healthy manner.

Do you know how they categorized beans (white, black and red) as well as chick peas. I loved lean line and lost a good amount of weight but at that time beans were on even on my radar so i don't remember. Aprpeciate any help you can offer.

I still have (cause I'm a pack rat) my original plan from 1972. I joined in Union City. I also have the book "Cybernetics for Lean Lines." I miss their ice cream. Unfortunately, they didn't get to the status that WW has, but I loved them.

Hi...today is April 16, 2013 and I just joined...anyway, I HAVE the Lean Line book! The problem is, I've made the cheesecake in it but it doesn't taste like the one that they had at the store...have you managed to find anything out about it? I just loved that cheesecake, used to have it for lunch every day with strawberries....was totally satisfying. Let me know if you want any of the other recipes in the book!

Lean Line was the easiest and best program ever!! I lost 130 lbs on Lean Line when I was in my late teens, early twenties and kept it off for years! I think I'm going to go back to that way of eating, because I still remember it, I think. It was easy to follow - each day have 2 milks, 2 breads, 2 fruits, 3 vegetables, 3 oils, protein was 1oz, breakfast, 2oz lunch, 3 oz dinner. Potatoes, peas no more than 4x weekly. Easy peasy!! If I got anything wrong that you can recall, let me know!

I LOVED leanline..we were talking about it at work. I was never able to eat so much and lose 35 pounds in 9 months. I only have the weigh in part of my book and would love to fine the rest of it. Even went on ebay! Is the book that is listed in another post based on the lean line diet plan? If so I will definately get it.
My leader was MaryEllen in Bound Brook Presb. Church. She was a real motivator.

I was a lifetime member of lean line. I still have some good habits left over from lean line. I learned to water down my orange juice so I could make a small serving of orange juice last a long time. I remember that people in my area were going to either WW or Lean line. My friends were going to lean line. I thought the programs were similar from what I knew.

I went before I had any children. My goal weight was 122. It was definitely on the low side for my height. Now the maximum weight for me according to WW is 150.

Calorie goal 1300

Yes, I do remember the Lottie type of name. Also I know it was printed shortly after I graduated High School which was 1970.

JoAnn, I think everything we bought from the Lean Line store was yummy!! All the ice creams, the veal sausage was grrreat!! The cheese cake was excellent too!! It was less expensive that the WW products back the too.

Can't wait to get their book from Amazon. I really miss that diet because it was so simple & easy.

How about Antonia S. & Lorraine Fay Wurtzel Marotta?

Remember their ice cream pops in all flavors and the veal sausage? WW made it and they didn't and I think that is so sad. I also remember the cruise week when you hit 20 pounds.

Lean Line was my favorite and most successful diet of all my years. I wish I could find the information in all my stuff around the house.

I just bought a book on Amazon which was written back then call "Lean Line Diet Cybergenics", not sure if I'm spelling it correctly, but I remember having it decades ago.

We used to frequent the Lean Line store which was located in South Plainfield, NJ. Sometimes I wonder if Weight Watchers both them out.

I do remember them from many years ago. There were two women who started it, and they lived in the Plainfield or Piscataway area. I had a paperback book that they wrote years ago, and I'll see if I can find it and get their names.

A few of us have been searching for anything on Lean Line, they were out of Plainfield and had stores and meeting all over much like Weight Watchers. I did very well on their diet plan and am hopeful that someone saved it along the way since they are no longer around.
