There was a dispute between a widow and a contractor that attended our church. It resulted in the contractor's wife grabbing the widow by the arm in the nursery where the widow volunteered since her early teens, and throwing the widow out of the nursery in front of fellow parishioner's..the Pastor did not address this properly. And the widow stopped her volunteer work completely in the church. Now this contractor and his wife was fairly new to our church where as the widow had been coming to this church since her early childhood. And let me tell you the gossip ran rampant through our pulpit, pitting everyone against everyone. And still the pastor did nothing to address this matter in the church instead he inserted himself into the widows problem with the contractor. Causing the widow a large financial problem. She had to finally fire the contractor, agree to a final payoff to a job that wasn't completed and hire other people to finish his work, while his wife continued to trash the widow. I know the work wasn't finished, like the roof, because she hired my husband had to finish the roof and half way through he discovered that the contractor made a major mistake and had moved an interior wall causing a severe leak..My husband would not have discovered this if we haven't had a bad rain pop up for 3 days, we then at our expense had to hire a roofer to repair this which led to us being in the red. But yet the widow took all this in silence..And no one, not one deacon stood up for the widow orr said anything to the widow. I was going to, but my husband forbade me..To this day I still feel that wrong is wrong, even if it is the Pastor and something should be said, even if done in private.
Love your Sister in Christ Jill

Did you know that the majority is not always right? It was the majority that cried “Crucify Him!” the day Jesus died. It was the majority that tried to throw Jesus down a cliff in Nazareth when He preached in the synagogue. The majority of the people refused to enter Canaan at God’s command and caused the rest of the nation to die in the wilderness. Did You Know? Vic.

HAVE A BLESSED DAY

Let's make the journey to heaven together.
