I think it depends on the person. As for me, 10-12 lbs will definitely change my dress size.

I agree with Craftdraft - I have to loose weight in other areas before I loose in my mid section. I have to loose my chest before I can loose where I really want it to disappear, the stomach area.

Weight loss isn't a good description for it - fat loss is more accurate. This all depends on how much fat you lose, how much water you retain, where your problem areas are, and also how big you are to begin with!

A very obese person person can lose 30 pounds and remain the same pants size - this is true because I started out at 265 and now weigh 230 and I wear the same size. I tend to lose weight in my chest and stomach, but excess skin makes my stomach fill up about the same amount of space as it did when it was larger.

A regular overweight person could lose anywhere from 5 to 15 pounds for a loss of a dress size.

It really really depends on your own situation.

Measuring monthly is a great way to track how your own body loses weight!

Also - I just looked at your weight loss tracker. If you haven't already dropped a dress size you are most likely to go down a size once you reach 180/185 - hope this helps!

I have been told in the past that it's 9-12 lbs per size. I think it seems to be more like 15-17 for me though.

Don't obsess over weight loss. Wellness is about making your life bigger, not smaller.
