I'm losing weight because I want to be a overall healthier person, I want to be able to have kids, and I want to look good in a wedding dress. I'm tired of feeling tired all of the time and feeling so terrible about myself. I have lost almost 50 pounds so far and already feel a world of difference in my overall daily life. I can't wait to reach my goal!

I'm losing weight for myself and also to just be healthy.
I want to become the the athlete I always was inside. I want to jog a 5k, a half marathon and eventually go for an actual marathon.
I just want to be the beautiful, confident woman I always knew I was.

I'm losing weight because I want kids. Right now I am at my lowest of my low physically. I can't fit into my clothes and I feel exhausted all of the time. I want to inspire my students to be all what they want to be. I lead by example so my example is to do anything and everything.

I'm losing weight because for the first time in my life I want to be fit and healthy. I would say I am pretty active but I have been back and forth and up and down with my weight loss. I finally got over being tied to a number and I have finally begun being motivated by the look of my body. I can see definition and tone in places I didn't know I had muscle etc.

I think the other reason I want to get healthy is I want to eventually have kids, and I don't want them to struggle in the same way I did.

To finally reveal the "real" me! I've been overweight my entire life and I can't imagine myself without a stomach....yet I'm almost there!
However, my biggest motivation is my future kids. I just want to be able to conceive and have a healthy pregnancy....everything I've done in my life is for those kids, but it's nice to discover that I have passions other than that.

Good Morning from Maine!!!

My biggest reason for losing is that I will sadly be leaving my 20's very shortly. The week before Thanksgiving is my 30th and I want to look damn hot entering this new decade. The 30's are supposed to be the best and want to enter them being fierce!!!!

Short term: My wedding in November.

Genuine self-esteem, not the manufactured kind of confidence that comes from a Maybelline bottle and a smaller pants size.

Speaking of pants, to reunite with my closet, because there are a lot of C to the UTE clothes in there! (I know these first two seem contradictory, but there's nothing wrong with paying attention to your appearance, so long as it doesn't determine your self-worth.)

To say "yes" to myself and finally give myself the one thing I've always wanted but never truly thought I deserved (otherwise I would have it by now).

To stave off diabetes until I'm at least 60ish (and hopefully forever, lol).

To pay it forward someday as a therapist, because you can not give people something you just don't have.

And, y'know, a myriad of other reasons. :)

I have several reasons that I want to lose weight. Not to sound selfish, but most importantly, for ME! I have always been overweight and now being 25 years old, I finally feel like I deserve to be healthy and happy! I have been through a lot over the past few years. From going through an abusive relationship (he made me feel like I wasn't worth anything), to moving back to my hometown (which actually was a good thing), I ended up reconnecting with a high school sweetheart (we are now engaged) but we recently had a miscarriage (early Feb. 2012). I have always had issues with my self esteem and I have had issues with depression. I have gained a LOT of weight over the past 2 years. I am at a place in my life where I am happy again. I just want to look as good as I feel. My fiance and I will be married next year (09/28/2013) and I want to be the beautiful bride that I know I can be! I saw someone else on here who said they had a miscarriage as well. That is another thing I NEVER want to go through again. I want to be healthy for my future babies!

- Feel comfortable in my skin.
- Fit in my old/new clothes
- Sleep without having breathing problems.
- Run again without feeling out of breath
- Wear a bikini this summer (:
- Don't feel awkward when being intimate with boyfriend cause of extra skin. (avoid to punch him every time he caresses my stomach)
- Wear dresses and shorts and skirts again
- Show myself I can do it without provoking any harm to my body or my family, in a healthy way.
- Learn to prepare my own meals.
- Become balanced and set limits.

- To be healthier and have more energy (so far so good)
- To be able to wear the clothes I want to wear . . . like shorts - spending a week in New Orleans over the summer and going to disc golf tournaments with my now ex over this past summer and unable to wear shorts was a real motivator for this.
- Related, to look sexy in my hockey jerseys instead of butch . . .
- To be more attractive to men - not that I'm losing weight for THEM - but I want to get married and have a family before I'm too old to do it and enjoy it - and the healthier I am the easier that will be all around - from being attractive to the right guy, to being better able to have kids, and then to keep up with them after I have them . . .

Hi everyone!

I'm hoping to lose weight so that I feel confident enough to start rock climbing. I hate that my weight is preventing me from doing activities that I love and doesn't reflect how strong I am. I also simply like the way having less weight on my body feels, I'm a bouncy person and it's easier to bounce around!

I want to lose weight for 2 reasons. One is so i can feel better about myself. I slacked off and gain some extra weight. Another is i want to look good for my best friends wedding. i'm the MOH. We bought our dresses and now the dress is SNUG. so i'm hoping losing some weight i will have breathing room

Hi Shannon! I want to lose weight mostly for self confidence reasons -- I have been my ideal weight before and so I know how I feel and look when I am "at my best." I just want to get back there :) From that comes more confidence in my career, my love life, and even my day to day (less weight to carry around on jogs, more comfortable doing water activities in summer, etc.).
