For me, I've found that my cardio workouts have blasted alot my belly fat. However, I carry most of my weight in my legs/butt. Everyone is different, but I'm wonding if the heavy breathing from cardio helps work the abs.

Well, it's actually impossible to spot reduce. Cardio burns fat from all over your body, but where you lose first/last depends on how you carry it. A combination of consistent exercise (cardio and strength) and a clean diet will yield results.
Unfortunately, contrary to what you will see on TV and in some fitness magazines, there is no way to target belly fat. Unfortunately, we are unable to choose where we lose our fat from. It is different for every person where the fat loss comes from at first but with hard work it will come off eventually.
Do cardio, do strength training, eat clean and it will go away quicker!
I have read different articles in magazines, online, etc. and almost all of them seem to point to cardio as the main way to shrink the belly fat. The article I read yesterday (I believe it was from a link on Fitness Magazines Twitter post) that stated that you get the most results in burning belly fat, after you have hit the 30 min. mark in cardio, so if you can hold out and do up to 60 min. of cardio, then you are fighting belly fat to the max.
For those of you who are / have beat the belly fat battle, do you think this is true? What did you do to get rid of it?? It's my BIGGEST struggle. Every other part of me is easy to target....the belly fat, not so much!
