Interval training is a great way to start. I never imagined myself as a runner, either, but I'm just starting off. There's a Jeff Galloway Training for any Length Race team on here that's great, I'd highly recommend you look them up!

My mom started running last year. She's lost tons of weight and she looks amazing. She hit a plateau a few months back. I remembered reading on SP about incorporating interval training into her routine. She did and finally broke through her plateau. Good luck to you!

Intervals are a great way to start running. When I started I would run one block walk a block, run 2 walk one, run 3 walk one until I was able to run the whole time. It gives you a chance to build up your endurance without over doing it.

Good Luck!

The "Couch to 5K" program is good to start. I've just started as well. It's not as scary as it seems at first (I NEVER thought I would become a runner!)

Good luck! :)

I went and seen my dietician Wednesday and she wants me to try running. I am not to fond of running. She wants me run 30 seconds walk a minute, run 30 seconds walk a minute and so on. I am a little nervous.
