We are celebrating my husband's birthday tonight. I feel like I have done so well this week but now I must face reality. It is Friday night and we are going to Columbus for Schmidt's German food and then a Beer Fest with over 300 craft beers. These events are what I live for. This is what my husband and I do together. We seek out interesting food and local/micro brews. I have apps on my phone just for this purpose. We have gone all over the country to eat and plan to travel the world someday, to eat!
I've been to Schmidt's, so I have planned ahead to decide what to order that will be satisfying but not too calorie rich. But then the beer fest, the concessions, the late night munchies...
I thought I would off-set some of these calories by walking from hotel to restaurant/convention center but the weatherman says it will be raining all day and the other 7 people in our group are not exactly on board with my goals.
My problem for the last 10 years, I suddenly realize, is the 2 steps forward, 3 steps back dilemma.
Thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated!
