I am in Southeast Ohio. I would be willing to drive to Columbus or halfway between Columbus and Cinnicinati for a regional rally. I think it would be great to have structured activites as well. Plus it would be nice have people who have lost the weight and kept it off speak about their journeys. I mean you could throw in a few social activies. I think a walk would be great in a park too.

I'm in Central Ohio and would be interested in this. I think a couple hour drive is about all I could handle on a weekend though. I would vote for some structured activities vs. just socializing because that helps the shyer folks get involved.
So last year I tried to organize Spark Rallies around the Cincinnati area, but we didn't have a whole lot of participation. After organizing a Sparkpeople team to participate in the AHA Heart Mini Marathon and Heartwalk last weekend, I've decided to try and get things moving again (see thread on the Cincinnati team if you're local and interested - www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_mes sa geboard_thread.asp?board=0x10383x471R>69835 )
Having lamented the low attendence last year, my son came up with a brilliant suggestion (don't know WHERE he gets it LOL) - maybe a monthly *regional* rally might be better attended - he is part of a group that's been having regional meetings at the Max & Erma's between Cincinnati and Columbus and suggested that might make a good alternative (at least for Southwestern OH anyway, I was thinking we'd either need to meet in Columbus or try and have regional meetings in the various corners of the state).
