HI again!

Everyone must have busy days. Hope all is going well!

I didn't do such a good job of taking a break today... I did get a lot done, though. The study I had in the morning took for-EVER and wasted the whole first half of my day. *headdesk* SO I've decided to work out after class tonight instead. I'd go before class, but 5-5:30 is an insanely busy gym hour.

On the plus side, I just about finished a looming project almost a full week ahead of its deadline. :D Just waiting for a few points of clarification from teh boss, then submitting. :D

Alrighty, off to track my food before I catch my train. xoxo

Heather - I'm so glad that you get to branch out! How lovely! Dancing, horses, art... all sound like fun fun fun!

Laurie - I'll have to check that article out! Thanks! Glad to see your classes are wrapping up; even if it means finals are looming, it also means that the semester will be DONE soon. :D Focus on something you can do right now, and it sounds like eating is that. You can't expect yourself to do everything perfect all at once. I bet you'll rock your eating today too! :D

Carol - Don't you love when something you do *works*?! :D

Shirley - Oooo I'm intent on swimming this week too! We'll rock it together!!! :D

***

Hi all. Sorry I was MIA yesterday - it was the only day of the week this week that I really had a LOT of time to be productive, so I got a lot done. :D Then I had a volunteer dinner and spent the evening with Mike. :D

I've been doing well with food since Saturday. Gonna keep that up. I also worked out Sunday and Monday, so I'm going to work out today too and get a streak going. I'll get in a quick lunch workout. That's right, LUNCH workout. How? B/c I FINALLY signed up for my work gym yesterday! :D That's why I wasn't on here at lunch - I was at the gym. :D

Alrighty, I've gotta get out of this towel and into work clothes. XOXO

Bad weather, a ton of work, I haven't been anywhere near a pool for a good two months.
Fortunately my work load will be decreasing soon and I am intent on going to the pool on Thursday

I like the article. When I got to my new company there was no clear organizational/heirarchy chart, so that was the first thing we tackled. The second thing was to re-train people to only go up or down that org chart with email. I was getting hundreds of pointless emails and now I only get that which I should.

Glad you liked the article Heather! I've found with people relying more and more on e-mail and with everybody thinking their issue has to be at the top of the priority list, it's getting harder and harder to get through a day without needless interruption. Notwithstanding true emergencies, there is very little that will cause a shattering catastrophe if it isn't taken care of "right now." I think my tendency is to think, "well, this will only take a second, I'll do this first, then I'll dig in to the bigger project." Problem is, you do enough of those "take a second" little things at once, and pretty soon your day is gone and you haven't touched the big project at all. Did you catch the suggestion of only checking your emails after lunch? OMG... that scares me! Mostly because I'm afraid if I don't look at them as they come in, I'll have a million to look at all at once and suddenly I've added another big project to my plate! Ack! I think I hate e-mail... j/k... but the article is right in that we do tend to let technology take over our lives.

You seem to have a good handle on your time. And now you want to add dance and horse shows to your plate! Well, it does sound like fun, and it has lots of meaning for you. I wish you good luck getting it all done! I think I need to aspire to what you do.

Tonight is my last Wills and Trusts class. Ever. OMG... the sheer volume of information. I'll be glad to be done with it. Then I have to finish the last of my big paper for Elder Law and prep for the finals in Wills and Accounting. I'm in the process of getting small study groups together for both of those; hopefully they won't be too bad.

I did okay yesterday with my eating, and I'm heading to be okay today too. I want to lose 10 lbs before I leave on vacation on the 9th. I feel fat and sloppy and out of shape. I know I should try to get in a few workouts, I'm just not motivated. Remember that orange shirt I bought last year? The one I had on in my last profile pic? Well, it's too tight now. Gotta get those pounds off!

Good Morning!!! Happy Tuesday. emoticon It's another pretty day here, and my energy is high. Which is good, because I have a lot to do! First I'll work, then go to the pool to swim, then it's off to the dance school to get the recital costumes! I love this day because we get to see the kids in their costumes for the first time.

I am thinking about taking the adult tap and jazz class next year at the dance school. It's late on Thursday nights, which is problematic for me, the early riser, but I may be able to make it work. I'm gonna keep thinking about it because I have until September to decide.

I've also applied to be part of the Sussex County Horse Show Association for this year. This non-profit organizatin stages a big horse show in August and several more smaller shows throughout the season. It appears that they may need a treasurer.........maybe more than I want to take on, but we'll see how it goes.

And, I have to get going on getting my husband's art business going. I guess my crazy work is finally, FINALLY under some semblance of control and I can branch out now and do other things!!! YAY!!

Laurie posted this link yesterday, and I liked it so much I'm posting it again today. People often ask how I get so much done......I think this is how I do it. Focus and discipline and an organizational method that works well for me.
