I guess I am the odd duck this time! I used to get hiccups all the time before surgery and after surgery they mostly have gone away. I never learned to burp which made getting rid of gas after surgery hard. (My surgeon told me that burping during or right after eating for a RNY patient is usually due to eating too fast or drinking carbinated beverages and getting air in the stomach with your food or drink). So for me there is no connection to fullness.
What I get is a low gurgle or rumble which tells me to stop and wait a few minutes to see if I am full or not. It only happens for just for a couple of seconds but if I feel it then I know to stop right there. I am 19 months out and it has happened ever since surgery for every meal.

I get a much stronger fullness sensation than ever before surgery. It is such a satisfying feeling, like my stomach is getting a warm hug. After so many years of never really feeling satisfied from eating, it is a great comfort to me.
If I don't stop at that point, then I get a few hiccups. Twice I have gone beyond that point, and the next thing was stomach pain, which takes about 20 minutes to go away. Luckily, I have not gone past that one yet, never had anything come back up at all.
You rest you rust.

Does anyone else get a soft cues when they are full? I noticed that I get the hiccups when I am full and if I don't listen well everything just comes up(that only happend once lol). Just wanted to see what the different cues are and give people who just had surgery or are going to have surgery to check for these cues. It has really helped me to not over eat cuz as soon as I hiccup I stop eating. I hope this issues stays with me for a long time anyone that is a ways out from surgery do you still recieve soft cues and how long out are you?
