I haven't been really emotional but I have about a 3 day period about every 10 days, lol and I am on birth control pills. Hang in there. It will get better

As long as there is breath, there is hope

I think sometimes we do not realize that our emotions and hormones are affecting us after surgery. But if we were to ask our family and friends they would tell us that we were acting a little strange fro a while after surgery.

Wow! I am glad I didn't have this problem. I think it's delayed and I'm having it now (three years later). lol

Not to make light of your plight. I am glad you are consulting with your doctor.

Honey, Welcome to the wacky world of post RNY emotions! It will be a roller coaster ride for about 6 months to a year. The first month or two is the worst! You will survive and have a new appreciation for emotions and hormones.

Thanks I just didn't think the emotions and hormones would be sooo out of wack right away! It's just crazy even if they told me it I would have never believed it.

SI'm 3 1/2 months out and my hormones are really messed up. I asked my endo at my appointment last week if I should take my bcp. I'm on them for my pcos. She was like "oh yeah"
I am going to see an ob/gyn later this month to do more blood work.
I cry at the littlest things. And sometimes I am so mad I could yell or say something rude. I have few co-workers who set me off and another who emails me from a few feet and tells me to leave the room before i go over the hedge (the hedge are the cubicle dividers in our office/room that divide the front people from us). She knows what I would say or do to the snobby person on the other side.
I will say my hormones go out of wack 2x a cycle during my period and ovulation. That is another reason for blood work

I know exactly what you are going through. For the first two weeks after surgery I cried every day. One minute I would be balling and then I would turn around and laugh my head off. It was crazy. It didn't last more than three weeks for me. It is temporary. Your body is adjusting and you will experience lots of changes.

Ok so I have been feeling really good the last few days. But When they told me that I would feel tons of emotions, my homornes would go haywire, and my energy level would be up and down. I didn't think it would be this bad. I was watching a comedy and bald the entire movie. Then After the movie I was laughing so hard at my puppy. Also my hormones are all screwy just crazy, good thing my boyfriend has been working a lot this week and I'm not aloud for one month. (lol) Next you got the energy one minute I am running around cleaning things and next I'm falling asleep at the table. I didn't think it would be this crazy sooo soon after surgery. I am only a week out. I afraid of what is too come the next few weeks.
