Since the Adv Step perfect score is 672, and you generally get 2 points for perfect steps, I'd say there are 336 actual steps taken in this game.

I hope this makes sense.

No points aren't the same as steps in the Advanced step. At the end of the exercise it shows you how many perfects, greats, and misses. The number of steps are how many in each category you got credit for.
