Zumba is primarily cardio, while EASA is more balanced (cardio and ST). Is there one that you need more than the other? As for me personally, I would probably pick EASA; I've played the first two and enjoyed them (I am not good at getting in my ST, but I get tons of cardio) and lost about 10 pounds the first time I did the 30 Day Challenge. That and I have zero coordination which makes Zumba really, really hard for me. I do know that EASA does have some pausing, which you don't like, but like I said, since it's primarily ST-based, it's somewhat of a necessity between reps anyway.
I do know that both of them have been $30 on Amazon.com within the last month, so if you're willing to play the price watching game, you can get them more cheaply than they are currently offered. I try to post Amazon.com sales that I come across on the forum.
Whichever one you choose will be a good addition to your workout library.
Edit: Just saw they were Mother's Day gifts. Then pick the one you want :)
