My husband has trouble with his knees and uses the Wii board for Walk it Out
very little impact on the knees that way.
I also have knee problems but just use the controler and nunchuck and it works out well for me.
Like Amy Said just del. the songs you have problems with

Jaime, Walk It Out is a game of walking. You walk and earn points to open songs, open new walking routes, and build your island. It is pretty low impact. There are some songs on there that are pretty fast and are close to jogging speed. Any songs that are too high impact you can remove them from your playlist. You can either walking in front of your TV or walk around your room as long as you stay in the range of the Wii sensor. I have it and I think it is great.

Hi guys. Newbie here. I just got the Wii for Christmas, so I haven't tried many of the games. This may be a silly questions, but is Walk It Out simply a game where you walk? Or is there more to it? I'm trying to decide if I should buy it.

I have tendonitis in my knees and I've been told to stay away from running. Would you say that this is a low impact exercise game?

I have Just Dance 2 and I like it, but I get bored with the selection of songs. I have the Wii Fit Plus, but don't really get a cardio burn. I really am looking for something that I can sweat to. I love Wii boxing, but I can't do too much of it because of the twisting in my knees. (I really get into it. emoticon)

Thanks for any input.

to track it in my fitness I just click manually enter then enter the info and add it to my favorites that makes it fast and easy to get to.
The one thing I wish the Walk it Out would do is keep up with the minutes. I have to check the clock at the start and finish myself. Oh well can't have everything

WOW Great start on walking. Try walking the 0.2 miles everyday and then just keep trying to add a little bit every once in a while. Hey I started out only walking 0.36 miles 1-3 times a week and now I am walking almost 2 miles a day. But hey also try some strength exercises for your legs and ankles. I know there are some found in the fitness section of spark people. Good luck and keep posting your progress. I am anxious to hear how your doing.

I ordered the Walk Out and played with it yesterday. Couldn't decide if I wanted to use the numchuck or the balance board. I used the later but plan to use the numchuck today as I haven't used it for anything else. I too was wondering how to count it on the tracker. Is anyone here on WW? I am also trying to count the activity on WW.

The dance pad and dance dance revolution I'm hopeing to get for my birthday in May.

The Wii fit plus, with balance board is going to be a gift to myself when I hit 320 pounds-I know the weight limit is 330, I'm at 405 right now...so I have a long way to go. So for now, I'm WAY to fat to use it.

That leaves me using just the wii remote and nun chunk.

I think I may have finally over did it yesterday. My upper thighs are SORE!! Not I can't move sore, but boy did I pull something sore.

when you are not use to it that is a great start
are you using the wii board, dance pad, or the numchuck??
I know if I use the wii board I can't hold out very long so I use the numchuck
yet my DH can't hold out when using the numchuck and does well with the wii board
so you might want to try and see what works best for you

I think .2 miles is a great start. Listen to your body and just do what you can do. Remember little bits add up to big things!!

Thanks. So far the furthest I've been able to walk is 0.2 miles before my ankles and lower legs decide enough is enough and crap out on me. I hope to work up to a half mile at a time up to a full mile.

I enter it manually as well, I take the calorie count from a body bugg, but it's the same idea.

I handle it just like Amy describes & agree the calorie count seems pretty accurate for me. I've done it a couple times using my HRM to compare and they were close enough.

Enjoy WIO!

I think it is pretty accurate. You set up your profile and add in your weight so I think it takes that in to account when it gives you your calories burned.

I enter it manually when I do WIO. On your main fitness page there is a place that says manually enter calories burned. WIO will tell you how many calories you've burned while using the game so I use that info to enter in my fitness tracker. When you enter it the first time on your fitness page click on the box that say add to favorites then everytime you use it all you have to do is go to the favorite tab and enter minutes and calories.

I just got the walk it out game today. Haven't tried it yet. How do I add it to my fitness tracker? I'm assuming I put it under walking...but slow walking, 30 minute mile or what?

Thanks!
