I think in order of preference for Wii Dance Games I like:

1. Just Dance 1
2. Just dance 2
3. Dance Dance Revolution 2
4. Zumba

To me, DDR is the hardest to keep up with. I flail all over the matt.

All I can say about Zumba is the 20 min Beginners class wears me out I don't think that is light intensity, therefore, making this a great time to work up a sweat.

In my area, K-Mart has the WII Zumba game on sale for $29.99. It's normally $39.99.

I just tried it last night. It's a great workout, but not quite as fun as the other dance games that I have (Just Dance 1 and 2, Michael Jackson Experience and Gold's Gym Dance Workout). Still, it's similar to going to an actual Zumba class, and I think it will make a good addition to my collection of Wii exercise games :)

I'm loving the wii zumba lots of work but so much fun. my childcare kids love it too, not such if part of the fun for them is seeing me act like a crazy women trying to keep up. we get the giggles.

Though I've done about 6 sessions on the wii zumba I'm still flailing my arms like a madman and my hips and feet are moving totally out of step, I'm having fun and working up a sweat.

I just picked the game up this weekend. I have only done the 20 beginners and I was pooped afterwards. It is a bit hard to follow with all the colors but I found the moves easy to pick up since I go to a zumba class. I will say it is much harder to dance on carpet though. The tutorials are not good at all. I recommend taking the remote out of the belt for those and just moving it when you are ready to go on to the next step.

I just picked mine up yesterday and it is a fantastic cardio workout (even at easy setting) and I am dying after 10 minutes and look nothing like the dancers on the screen, but it is fun. It is still a little intense for my cardio level (read: almost nil) but I consider gettting through 10 minutes a win for me...which is half the workout! I have two other friends who have it, and we all love it!

I know I look like a darn fool just trying to keep up with the moves. I know I'm not doing them right (at least not yet) BUT it's so addicting. and never the same twice. If I didn't have to drive 19 miles one way for a local class, I'd sign up for a real life one.

It's hard for me to keep up even with the tutorials. But I'm gonna keep trying the 20 minute beginner levels. It's so addicting and fun...no idea why I didn't get this game earlier.

I appreciate these comments/reviews. I'd heard that it's a little hard if you're just starting out or not fit (read big) so I was shying away from it. Might try it out now.

Thanks!

YES!!!

It's worth every penny of it. For me, it's a very intense workout.

I actually felt sore the next day. My legs and sides. OUCH.

But I'm hooked.

I love how there's no super skinny perfectly matching barely breaking a sweat dancers to keep up with.

The routine is different each time you play.

And it's hard. But no so hard you wanna give up but hard enough to keep you trying.

I have been considering purchasing the Wii Zumba, but I was not sure if I would be a good workout. I have been reading a few replies regarding the Wii Zumba and it sounds like it is a good workout. Sound I purchase Zumba for Wii Fit.

Does anyone do/own or has done Zumba for wii? If so, how would I log it under my workout? In otherwords, what kind of dance should I log it as?

anyway-I did a single routine yesterday when I got the game (only about 3 1/2 minutes) to get a feel for it. OMG. By the end of the single dance I was out of breath and needing to sit but I fell in love with it. Looking forward to doing longer sessions.
