EASA has total body workouts. (I don't have EASA 2, but I do have the first one and more workouts - which is technically the second one but not by name, lol.)

My husband and I are doing the 45 Day Challenge on it. It comes with a resistance band and a leg strap, which is why it's more expensive than other games. (EASA 2 comes with a heart rate monitor and is basically hands-free.) The exercises include squats, lunges, arm exercises, cardio... it's a pretty good total body workout. Today we did bicep curls, overhead shoulder presses, some step aerobics (without a step), sparring, sprinting, and reverse crunches, among other things. It was mostly upper body today, but I peeked ahead and tomorrow is lower body. They still do a little bit of everything though.

Why do you like EA and what kind of workout do you do?
I cannot afford to purchase any more equipment, I'm going to get gold's gym and that is it for a couple of months.
I did about 75 min on my wii fit today and 35 min on DDR. I am getting better at DDR. I mastered 3 dances! I wish that they had better song choices, but it's really a good workout.
I think that it will be funner once I lose some of this weight. I feel like I'm dragging this heavy weight. I used to be skinny before college (but I was a chubby kid, got skinny as a teen), so I cannot believe that I let it get to this point. I used to be very active, exercised every day and didn't have trouble moving around.

I started with Wii Fit. Found I got the best work out for the boxing and the hula hooping.

Then I got EA Active. Love it cause it gives a total work out with calories burned. And the workout changed everyday.

For Christmas DH got Active 2, which I am loving. I has a 3 week training program and 9 week training program with a heart rate monitor. I like that I don't need the controller for everything and that it gives me the option to replace the resistance bands with hand weights.

I had DDR for my playstation, I loved it as workout. But playstation broke and I never replace DDR for my Wii.

Have Fun!!

I don't know which activity burns the most calories: probably step, hula hoop, and island cycling.

Gold's Gym Cardio is a cardio boxing game. You don't need any other equipment. You can either use a remote/nunchuk or two remotes (which works best). It's a pretty good workout, to be honest, although you have to enjoy boxing - there really isn't any other variety. Yes, it does tell you how many calories you burn. I don't think it's challenging in terms of "oh, this exercise is really hard!" but there are longer routines with more moves, and it will totally wear you out!

I'm not the biggest fan of Gold's Gym Dance, simply because I find the moves to be really hard for non-Zumba exercisers and it's so fast paced that it's hard to figure out what you're doing wrong. It frustrates me. With practice though, I've gotten better and come to enjoy it a little more. The mini games on it are really stupid though, lol.

What is the Gold's Gym Cardio like?
does it tell you how many cals you burn?
And how challenging is it? I'm contemplating get both the Gold's Gym cardio and dance.
would I need additional equipment for it? 'Cause I think that I'm all spent out!

lol yeah. It keeps on saying I'm obese, then says to picture my goal figure... how can I do that when there is Chubby Chrissy waddling around, being called obese?
Do you know what burns the most cals in wii fit?
I did the step thing for about 1/2 hour today, and 15 min of boxing, hoola hoop.

I've never tried DDR. Sounds interesting. I received Gold's Gym Cardio and I'm loving it.

DDR can be challenging because it requires some eye/feet coordination that is unusual for your body. But like anything in life, you get better the more you do it.

Haha, the chubby Mii - I hate it! Mine got down to overweight once, then went back up to obese and I was sad.

I tend to just pick things that I know I'll enjoy; I don't really have a set routine because I don't want to get bored with the stuff I'm doing.

I just try to do something every single day... just what strikes as something to do..
I got just dance for Christmas from my one son and while its not a work out game, it gets me moving, so working on that right now.
You could also look at tennis on wii sports.. its also tons of fun, same for bowling.

Thanks. I just tried out both DDR and the wii fit and it looks like I will need a lot of work lol but I got a good workout.

How do you guys decide what you will do everyday? It seems like there are quite a few choices.

DDR will give you a heck of a workout...
you can also look at the wii sports resorts and bike around the island, while it says your biking, its actually walking on the wii fit board... I have mastered the island, and now am locked permanently at 30 minutes, can't go beyond that, as it has a 30 minute time limit, but before you master it, your given an unlimited time.. wished they changed that.. cause I have yet to get all the balloons in that 30 minutes, yet before to get the flags it was fun and challenging, now its a bore..

Hey all,

I just got a wii for Christmas... I knew about the Wii Fit before, but wasn't sure if I'd get it, since I wasn't sure if it would give me a workout.
Well, my bundle came with wii sports & sports resort--and the boxing really wore out my arm (heh. my wii age is 70 and I'm 25!) so now I'm convinced that I need to train up and get back in shape...also am convinced that this thing will give me a workout.
I wanted the wii for Donkey kong and mario--looks like this is a plus! But everything is so costly!
Anyway, I just got home from the mall and I bought wii fit plus & dance dance revolution.
Do you think that DDR will help with weightloss?
And should I expect at least "normal" results for the wii fit, given that I eat reasonably?
I am going to do this in the morning and go on my treadmill in the evening for the next 2 months. after that, I have to sell my treadmill, because I'm moving.

So I hope that this works, as it will be my only means of exercise!

Thank you!

Chrissy
