I love yoga, but I admit I haven't done much of it with the Wii. I tried the yoga portion of the Biggest Loser game, but I found that it was painful and uncomfortable to have to hold on to the remote or balance board when doing poses. I have enjoyed doing some of the poses on Wii Fit Plus because it gives you insight into your center of balance that an instructor or a DVD just can't give you.

I love Wii Yoga! I always feel very relaxed and stretched out after I do my routine. I simply threw all the routines together into a 30-40 minute session. I haven't done it in a while; this thread has given me that itch to do it tonight since I'm not inclined to go to the gym! :)

Wii routine tip
I hate having to move the Wii board and exercise mat around a lot while exercising. So I put the standing exercises first saving the triceps extensions for last that way while they wait for me to click the A button to let them know I'm ready I can move the board out of the way and put the mat down. I sit on the mat to do the triceps extensions so I don't have to rush to get down. I also do a second set of triceps extensions after the floor exercise so that it give the blood time to go down without me getting dizzy.

Just like SHE-WIZARD, I made up a yoga/strength training routine on My Wii Fit Plus. I do a few aerobics exercises first to make it what I consider a complete work out.

I LOVE that they made it possible to put all the exercises together. I just wish they'd included strength and aerobics too.

That's a great idea. I haven't played with the options in Wii Fit Plus enough to really plan out a good workout.

I love the WII Yoga! I use My WII Plus, and have put together a routine consisting of both Yoga and strength exercises. I love using it that way, because it runs the exercises one after the other - without all the breaks in between. Saves time, and it is wonderful to see all those minutes add up and calories burned when I'm done with the routine. A great time saver, and also seems to keep me more fluid in the yoga routine.

Eat your veggies
And Cut the Fat
I'm changing ME
and that is THAT

As you may have learned from the Daily Spark, September is National Yoga Month! So tell us about your yoga habits. Do you do it? If not, have you ever tried it? Do you like it, dislike it, swear by it?

Wii Fit has yoga exercises, which I'm sure many of you have tried - but if not, dust off your balance board and give it a go!

My preferred yoga method is using My Fitness Coach. Fifteen minutes breezes by for me, and I don't have to worry about falling off the balance board ;)
