You were right to put the nunchuck in your left pocket. Your right hand holds the Wii mote.

Thanks everyone for all of the help! I realized I was putting the nunchuk on my left side instead of my right...DUH! I don't have pockets in my workout clothes so I tried letting in dangle loose inside the right leg of my shorts and that works wonderfully! I also tried lifting my knees higher when I step and that seems to help too. My character still stalls every once in a while and gets that little black cloud over her head, but not nearly as often as before. I think that will improve with time as my rhythm gets better.

Gemma- a lot of times I hold the nunchunk in my left hand. That way, I get both arms moving.

I bought mine a few days ago on eBay at a ridiculously high price because here in the UK it is quite rare to see a copy [the name here is Step To The Beat]. I tried it last night for a few minutes and DID sweat: but I am extremely out of shape so I wasn't surprised. I quite like it!

@ GEMMA: my nunchuck wasn't working in my pocket too. So I tried keeping it dangling loose inside my trousers' right leg, and it worked perfectly. You have to keep the wiimote on your hand anyway, to catch the stuff, and that will prevent the nunchuck to fall from the bottom of the leg. I hope it works for you too!

I don't know, Gemma, I generally do not have a problem. Try altering your knee movements: either really sharp and short, or sharp and high. Sometimes it takes a little to get the rhythm working.

I can't get the remote/nunchuk combination to work. I've tried it with the nunchuk in my pocket, waist band and just holding both the remote and nunchuk and everytime my character only manages to walk a few steps and then stalls. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions? Now I use the balance board, but I'd like to be able to play the games with just the remote and nunchuk.

You can use a remote/nunchuk combination, the balance board, or the dance pad. So you're fine with what you have.

Thanks for the input. Do I need a dance dance revolution pad or is my fit board good?

I love this game. But I do not sweat while doing it. It is more of an endurance kind of calorie burn where the calories burnt come from the time you put in over the effort. But that being said, I can play this game for over an hour and not once think that I am exercising. Same can't be said for when I am doing other stuff where every second is being counted in my head.

It's one of the most popular games for fitness! You'll see lots of message board posts about it, and it's my Amazing Race team's favorite way to get fitness minutes :) It's quite fun and you generally lose track of time while playing!

Since it's a walking game, you wouldn't necessarily burn as many calories as something more high impact; however, there are some songs that are fast, meaning you have to jog to keep the beat instead of walk. Plus you can always add ankle weights, hand weights, a mini trampoline, pump your arms, etc. ... anything to burn a few extra calories.

I love it! I got it on July 31st, and have walked 64 miles so far. Of course, I'm a SAHM, and I get up early to do it. If you have the time, you can get going and not even realize how long you've been walking.

I'm interested in getting walk it out. Is it a good workout? Does it burn a lot of Calories? What do you think?
