True dat, Tracie and Pam
I'm forgetting the cutting board all together. I do not want to use it. And yes, as long as I always use the same method to weigh then what does it matter. Thanks guys

I never worried about which was more accurate -- my upstairs scale or my balance board. Like Pam said, I just always used the same thing. I figure if it shows a 5 pound loss who cared what the starting number was. 5 pounds gone was 5 pounds gone.

Glad you hve resolved it in your mind. You may find that even the Dr. scale is a lot different that the Wii, but you could adjust to that by saying that your clothes weight more or less than the really do. Being consistant in the main thing. Pam

Well, I removed the other three carpet cups and I used a large cutting board and found I'd gained a pound so I put the board directly on the carpet, cause it's old and worn and found I'd lost 4 lbs. That's a 5 lb difference. I'm not sure which to go with. But I've got a Doctor's appointment next week so I'll weigh both ways before I go and see which is closer to her scales.

But all in all, I think I'll just forget about the little cups all together and keep using the balance board directly on the carpet. Still it's hard to get excited, cause like ACTIVEGRANDMAP said, w/o the cups "It will probably weigh you a few pounds lighter". At least my balance board still works! That's the important thing, being able to use it for workouts ;)

thanks again for all of your help! You guys are the best.

If your house is like mine, you might find a scrap of plywood that would work great. pam

I think it might--the main thing is to try and keep the middle underside of the board from touching the ground/carpet in any way. or if you had a block that would be the same height as the extenders, perhaps you could put that under the one foot.

I have no idea if cardboard is hard enough or no *sheepish grin* It's the only movable surface large enough to weigh on I could think of though.

thanks for all the great replies.
lol, OK, I confess my living room is rarely spotless, but we had company on Saturday and we got it all spiffy, company clean. That's why I was so proud of is spotlessness. A rarity I know. grin

Yes I do have a dog, a 150 lb mastiff. She could have eaten it, but man I hope not. And she would have chewed it, there would be little bits of it left around, I know her.

No I do not have a cover for it. I didn't even know that they make them.

Thanks for the gamestop suggestion. I've not given up finding it yet.

Only my husband and I live here. There's been no one else here. He helped me look, even got down on the floor to look under the couch.

Using a hard surface to weigh myself seems like a great idea. You think cardboard is hard enough? I'll try it. thanks!!!

Would someone that doesn't know what it is pick it up and move it somewhere else?

Good luck in finding it. I know things like that drive me absolutely batty.
Also I have to say I'm with DREENAMT in asking whats a spotless living room?

First off, I can't remember the last time any room in my house was spotless so I am really impressed.

Do you have any little dogs? My little doggy took one of my Wii feet out the doggy door to the back yard recently!

My only suggestion that hasn't been already mentioned: Do you have a cover for the Wiiboard? I know that I always worry about my board's feet extensions because the cover seems to make them looser than they already are. Once, after I put it away, the food extender got knocked off and slid partway under the cover itself. You'd probably notice the bulge, though...

If you are concerned about the weight while the extenders are off, try finding something hard/solid to put the WiiBoard on while you weigh in. Maybe a side cut out from a card-board box (moving size)?

Yes Mommy, the first thing I did was lift up the board, that's how I noticed it was missing. And yes we checked under the couch, moved the automans and raised up the oversized chair. It's so odd 'cause I was just playing last night with no problem. Durn those little geists that steal my stuff! grrrrrr

Good luck finding that missing piece. I know it is aggravating to have something disappear like that.

Go to Nintendo's store (it's linked from Nintendo's main site)--they have replacement parts for most things like that (and I do know that they specifically have that)--I think you can also get things like power cords or even more "Personal Fitness Coach: Walking" (DS game) pedometers or the DS's carry straps.

I'm assuming that you did lift up the board, looking underneath and checking to see if they got doubled up on another foot? also under or in the couch? (don't want to treat you dumb, just really want to help! lol. You could never tell where it'd be in my house, but I have two little ones around...lol.)

I'll try it, that will be my only option until the foot shows up or I can find a replacement. I really wanted to get an acurate weigh in. I've been real excited 'cause the fat seems to be breaking loose. :) Thanks for your input.

That will work. It will probably weigh you a few pounds lighter, but if you just start with that weight you can still tell if you lose weight. Pam

Will it work if you remove all the feet to make it level again?

Crud! I was going to weigh this morning and my balance board would not cooperate. It kept wanting to reboot cause it could not find me. I checked it's little carpet feet and one is missing :(
I've always had trouble with one coming off. The strange thing is, I just used it last night to do the Soccer Heading. My living room (which it has not left) is spotless, if it were there it would stick out like a sore thumb. But it is no where to be found, not even under the couch or automans. I am not sure what to do or how to replace it :(
